“My family & I really enjoyed our stay! Walkable to restaurants & shopping. Kayaking to see ponies was a highlight! We felt at home here and especially loved the porch swing. So relaxing! Would love to come back! ”

“We stayed here for several days during Pony Penning Week. The cottage is small, but cute, comfortable, and well appointed. We had a minor plumbing issue on day 2, and our host responded immediately and rectified the problem with no interruption to our plans. AC units in each room kept us cool, despite hot, muggy weather. You'll want bug spray; the mosquitoes are fierce at dawn and dusk. (The island is on a salt marsh after all.) The cottage location is convenient to plenty of restaurants, shops,……

“Had a wonderful time. Sorry to say I lost my watch there and could never find it, plus I left some Kerug coffee pot parts on the kitchen counter so had to purchase a new pot when I arrived home. Only issue- was another visitor with a child that "jumped" and "bumped" half the night.The maid was the best! Buy-to add-the mattress was way past replacement.”

“The Salty Sailor was an excellent, affordable, and pet friendly rental. Nice location on ridge rd next to Mr Baldys which is a must to try if you stay here. The rooms are a bit older but maintained well. I didn’t experience any of the conditions that were listed in the other reviews here. We would certainly stay here again.”

“Rented this awesome cabin to spend Valentines Day with spouse and friends. The cabin was more than we expected. There’s a cute bar area, tons of comfortable seating, gas fireplace, cool decorations including antique items, beautiful property, and much more. There was lots of essentials already there so we only brought food. The pool table and dart board gave us plenty to do in addition to the tvs both in living room and bedroom. The host answered all my questions in a timely manner and I had a……

The place itself was very clean and cutely decorated. we loved the octopus on the bathroom wall!!! “This property was everything we needed for a trip to Chincoteague! The house was exactly as listed and the owner’s effective communication was top notch. The location of the house was great and we were easily able to come and go with ease. We saw the ponies , did a boat tour , found a great playground and basketball court and ate the best ice cream. Highly recommend!”
