10 out of 10, Traveler Award winner for 2024. Hanalei Bay Villa 26 is one of our most popular Kauai vacation rentals with its great views, short walk to beach, and updated interior. Bali Hai sunset views are just steps away. This luxurious 2br/2ba home at Hanalei Bay Villas is beautiful inside with tiger wood flooring, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. A newly added extra living room window provides stellar ocean views! On the other side, a shady lanai offers mountain views. It's absolutely perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine as you watch the sun go down and try to count the number of waterfalls you can see cascading down the mountain. With a large electric grill and covered dining area, you'll want to be sure to enjoy an al fresco dinner one evening!

You'll find plenty of room for two to cook together in the newly renovated kitchen. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms are downstairs. Upstairs are the common areas (living, dining, kitchen) and a half bath. There's a smart HDTV and DVD player in the living room. The master bedroom downstairs has a king bed, ensuite bathroom, smart TV, and private ground level lanai, quiet and surrounded by tropical foliage. Guest bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, has an adjacent full bath, and adjacent laundry area with washer and dryer. Both bathrooms are recently remodeled.

This popular Princeville rental home is ideally situated for exploring the north shore of Kauai. The charming down of Hanalei with its numerous shops, restaurants, and beaches, is less than ten minutes away. Anini Beach is an equally brief drive in the other direction. Or just stroll across the street and take the path to Hideaways beach, walk through the grounds of the lovely Hanalei Bay Resort to yet another nearby beach, or head to the St Regis and take the elevator to beach level. (Tip: walk over to the St Regis at sunset and enjoy a drink at the bar as you watch the sun go down over Hanalei Bay.) Princeville shopping center is just over a mile away if you need to grab some groceries, gas up, or just feel like strolling the shops and sampling the various food offerings. Right across the street is Hideaways Pizza Pub, and nearby Hanalei Bay Resort has an outdoor bar with live music, plus dining options.

For your enjoyment, a selection of beach gear is provided, including beach chairs, snorkel sets, and boogie boards. There's a nice selection of books on Hawaii touring, food and cooking, plants and animals, plus a "lending" library. A selection of DVD's includes movies filmed on Kauai! Other amenities include full kitchen, washer/dryer, free wifi, smart tv, ceiling fans, views, views, VIEWS. Sleeps 4. Great location and amazing views! Plenty of room for our group of 4 adults. Walked to the beach to snorkel each day. The grocery store is really close. The kitchen was stocked. We had a great stay! Highly recommend this property!

Everything Was Perfect at this Villa; Truly Magical location. This owner/host pays, extraordinary attention to, “Detail”, very clean!! Fully equipped kitchen, every gadget and spice that you need to cook. Linen’s fresh, clean, and comfortable. The only thing I’m disappointed about is we didn’t book our stay for a longer period of time.

Stunning views all around! This was hands down the nicest and most well appointed rental that we have ever stayed in. It had everything from spices in the kitchen to beach chairs/umbrellas, binoculars, a telescope and even medical and emergency supplies. The villa was extremely well maintained, the host was excellent about communicating, and we can't wait to return.

Best views ever!

This location couldn’t have been better. It got our family of 4 ok. We have 2 teen girls but they sacrificed space for the location. Proximity to beaches and town were great. Will def be back!

The house was beautiful! So comfortable as well. The kitchen was very well appointed...we needed nothing! The views and location were beautiful, we watched the sunset every evening. We enjoyed the outdoor eating area as well. Would stay here again.

Fantastic house

This is a gorgeous house with a gorgeous view. The house has a great soul and just feels good all around. You feel like you’re in a home while you stay there. Well stocked and cared for. I would be happy to stay here again if I ever return to the north shore of Kauai.

Incredible Property

Excellent property and location. View’s marvelous. The house was well appointed, clean and had everything you could need. Ice maker and filtered water was awesome. We relaxed and enjoyed our stay at this property. Wish we stayed here longer.

Ocean view with beauty all around…close to everything we love to do

This was our second stay at this beautiful property. We love the privacy of being in a small, standalone home yet being so close to everything (ocean is across the street, public walking path is a favorite, great restaurants in Princeville and Hanalei, world class hiking, snorkeling at Anini Beach). Home is lovingly maintained with many nice touches. The kitchen is fully stocked. Having a washer and dryer on site is great. King bed is very comfortable.

Lovely property with amazing views!

We have stayed in several of the villas in this collection over the years and the views are unmatched! This unit is lovely and well-decorated, with comfortable beds (we loved that the second bedroom had a large bed vs the two twins that many units have, which are too short for teens/young adults). And the kitchen had everything we needed, too! Our only feedback was that the beach supplies were much less than described, and not in great shape. And it was a bit harder to get ahold of someone to ask questions than anticipated. But overall we loved our stay!

Ocean view house is a great place to unwind and enjoy the north shore. Stores in Princeville are convenient, and Hanalei is a short drive away. The ocean and Mountain views are spectacular, especially the sunsets. The house is very bright and full of Kauai islands vibes. Overall, a real gem.

Amazing stay at Hanalie Bay Villas

We enjoyed our stay a lot. The location of the villas is amazing as you can get to multiple beaches easily. There is convenient shopping locations and the kitchen is fully stocked with necessities. The location has two balconies to enjoy the nature.

Beautiful views

We loved our stay! The views off the balcony to the mountains and the view off the front porch to the ocean. I can't think of anything I would change the place had everything we needed. We loved Hideaway Beach and it's just a short walk to the trail. Great walking paths for morning runs and walks too. I miss having I already miss having my coffee on the balcony! We will be back

Family stay

We had a wonderful stay at villa 26 with my in-laws. It was perfect for four adults with plenty of space for all of us to spread out and have both personal space and time together upstairs. We spent most of our time when we weren't out and about seeing the sites enjoying the beautiful lanai with the mountain views and night stars. And we loved being so close to the 1 Hotel for morning coffee walks. The property is updated and incredibly clean and well maintained - exactly like the photos! The kitchen is one of the best stocked we have come across in a rental home. We also enjoyed the use of the beach equipment when we went out to enjoy the local beaches. Note to management: A non-stick pan would have been great and one of four beach chairs is broken. Would highly recommend a stay here to any families looking for a great spot to explore Kauai!

Fabulous choice in princeville

This was our 5th trip to kauai and we're definitely north shore fans. And it's hard to beat concenience of princeville. Hanalei bay villas stand apart from all the condos in princeville because theyre standalone units and you really feel like youre in a unique treehouse bungalow on the edge of a tropical jungle. Can't beat those morning coffee views. You're just a quick stroll to a fabulous snorkeling beach and the beautiful new 1 hotel is at the end of the street. The unit was soacious and lovely and we appreciated the beach gear. Mahalo nui loa for a great stay. We'll be back!!

Lovely condo in a lovely spot

We loved Unit #26. It was spotless when we arrived and very nicely decorated. The kitchen very well stocked, the best I have ever experienced in a rental condo. It is perfect walking distance to Hideaway Beach. My husband and I enjoyed many evenings on the lanai taking in the gorgeous mountains and the starry night sky. We would definitely stay at #26 again.

Overall great unit but could use some deep cleaning and upgrades.

Location is beautiful. Variety of kitchen tools, dishes and spices a plus. Told to check in after 3PM or would be fined for early arrival, however unit was not available until 5PM. Outdoor amenities advertised including snorkel equip and beach chairs which were unusable. Window treatments are mildewy on backside in 2nd bedroom and extremely dusty and poorly maintained. Portable Fans and Air filters caked with dust.

Best rental I've ever stayed in

This property was amazing. From the views and amenities to the location and communication with the owner, the entire experience was fantastic. Plenty to see within easy distance from the property and the beaches within walking distance are not to be missed (particularly Hideaways). We can't wait to come back!

Fantastic!

We had a great time during our stay. We would absolutely rent this house again. It was in the perfect location, had everything we needed and was a short walk away from what ended up being our favorite beach (Hideaway). The views from the back were beautiful and we enjoyed all of the little birds that would come to the balcony. The ocean view in the front was gorgeous and perfect for watching the sunset. We will be back!
