“I had a 5 day reservation, I booked through Expedia. The day of check in i showed up at the property twice. The second attempt to check in i met the manager/owner’s nephew who says he usually does check ins and rentals but my Expedia reservation and receipt needed approval from his aunt that’s away. We called endlessly to no avail. So i looked for another place. Days later she finally got back to me through WhatsApp. She apologized and i empathized with her as an entrepreneur as well. After……

“Lavern’s Place was the perfect for my Ocho Rios trip. It’s super clean, safe, and located in a quiet area just a walk away from downtown and the beach. I went for a morning jog and felt totally at ease — even passed kids on their way to school. The AC worked great and the views from the room were a bonus, including the nice pool! The host was great too, everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!”

“This is a small hotel on a main street in Ocho Rios. The hotel is very clean. The rooms seem recently updated and the bathroom is nice. The air conditioning works almost too well and the hot water is hot which is a good thing. The Jamaican breakfast was good and we had dinner there one night and it was good. We enjoyed our stay!”
