This could have been an amazing stay—the view and the hotel décor are truly beautiful. However, it falls short in several key areas.
Aside from the on-site restaurant, there’s nothing nearby, which wouldn’t be a problem if the restaurant was functional. Unfortunately, it was poorly staffed. Each time I tried to go, there was only one overwhelmed staff member handling both service and bartending. I waited over 30 minutes without being acknowledged, and the couple next to me said they had waited an hour for a single drink. I was never able to dine there and ended up taking cabs into town for all my meals.
On my third night, a loud and violent disturbance began around 10 p.m. and continued until 2 a.m. Despite wearing earplugs, I couldn’t sleep. The banging was coming from the room above mine, and the noise level was extreme. I messaged the hotel multiple times via WhatsApp, explaining the situation and asking for help. I could see that my messages were read, but no one responded and no action was taken. As a solo traveler, I didn’t feel safe confronting the guests myself, so I spent the night feeling anxious and helpless.
The next morning, I let the hotel know I was cutting my stay short and requested a refund for the next night. Not only was I refused, but I was met with a dismissive and rude response.
While the setting is beautiful, it’s simply not worth it. Stay somewhere you’ll be cared and, at the very least, acknowledged.
