The Space:
Tucked away in the serene woods of Allegan County, Maple Woods Hideaway is a 2,200 sq. ft. retreat offering the perfect blend of seclusion and adventure. Located just 12 miles from the charming Lake Michigan town of South Haven, this home provides a peaceful escape while keeping you close to sandy beaches, boutique shops, and great dining.
The house features 5 spacious bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a cozy living room with a large-screen TV, and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area perfect for gathering over meals. Step outside to enjoy the screened porch with a dining set, a front deck with seating, and a 4-person hot tub available year-round for ultimate relaxation. Fire up the huge park-style charcoal grill (BYO charcoal & starter fluid) and dine al fresco before ending the night around the fire pit with friends and family.
For entertainment, the rec room is packed with fun—play a round of pool, foosball, or air hockey, or kick back in the lounge area with a 50” and 55” UHD TV, sofa, and extra fridge for drinks and snacks. Looking for adventure? Newly added this year, a private scenic hiking trail winds through the backyard, offering guests a rare opportunity to explore nature right from the home. While the home doesn’t sit right on the lake, you get private lake access where you can jump off the dock or jump into your boat you can conveniently dock. Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire property, including our swimming area, private dock, and our complimentary canoe.
Our docks, watercraft, gas grills & outdoor dining furniture are not available Oct 25-Apr 15.
Guests have convenient self-check-in access to our home via keypad entry system after the designated check-in time on their scheduled arrival date using door codes provided shortly before arrival.

Nestled on a peaceful, wooded lot near Scott Creek in Lee Township, Michigan, Maple Woods Hideaway offers a serene retreat to enjoy Michigan’s four seasons. Relax by the lake, explore vibrant autumn colors, or immerse yourself in the refreshing blooms of spring. Located just 10-15 minutes from Crane’s Orchards and Dutch Farms for delicious pies and fruit picking, and near Fennville Winery for tours and tastings, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Antique lovers will find treasures in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, Saugatuck, and along Blue Star Highway. In summer, enjoy dune rides, South Haven’s beaches, local fruit picking, and art galleries.
Getting Around:
To explore all the amazing spots in Southwest Michigan, you’ll definitely need a car! We're conveniently located to coastal towns—15 minutes from downtown South Haven, 20 minutes from Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.
Please note: We currently don’t offer electric vehicle (EV) charging on-site. Attempting to charge an EV does damage our electrical system, any violations will incur a $400.00 fee plus any repair costs. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!
Other Things to Note:
Wi-Fi internet is provided by AT&T, but they only offer limited speeds best suited to web browsing & checking email. More than a few connected devices at a time will cause lag. We provide satellite TV & DVD players for all our homes since video streaming is not an option. Kindly refrain from sticking anything to our walls or using tinsel, glitter, confetti, feathers, etc. during your stay; these leave messes that are hard & time-consuming for our limited staff to clean up.
