“This cute and quaint farmhouse cottage was exactly as described and the perfect home base for our family’s hiking and waterfall exploration getaway. We visited over Labor Day weekend and enjoyed exploring the local area, including Pigsah National Forest, DuPont State Forest, Hendersonville Apple Festival, and Brevard shops and restaurants. The cottage is wonderfully situated to take advantage of the areas natural surroundings. A short 5 minute drive to a five waterfall hike in DuPont forest,……

“Beautiful and relaxing!! If you're a nature lover you can't ask for more!! Surrounded by Rhododendron on a creek with many little waterfalls....and trout.....at the end of a gravel road! Moss covered boulders that when we walked up to front of the cabin many little blue/purple butterflies exploded up from the ground!!! Wow!!”

“Great place to stay in Brevard! Clean with a great kitchen, comfortable bed, and great shower. The screened in porch is great for relaxing in the afternoon. Filtered water was a bonus! Carol was a great host, and we would absolutely stay here again!”

“We had another amazing stay at the Hideaway this year. This house is immaculate and we felt very much at home here. So close to downtown Brevard, we could walk to grab a coffee in the morning or enjoy some evening drinks as we strolled through the shops. Though we didn't get to take advantage of the fire pit this year, we appreciate that there was wood available for us! The owner is always quick to respond to questions. We have already booked a week for next year! ”

“The property was immaculately clean inside. We felt very comfortable there.Sorry but “Mountain cottage” description is not accurate. It’s in town a few blocks from Main Street. I would have liked a reclining chair. Overall, we were very pleased and enjoyed our stay. We had a white squirrel visiting us every day too.Brevard is a nice little town with friendly people and shops that were geared to tourists. They really have the best of small town vibe going on. “Great little getaway. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here in Sept 2025. Honestly the only thing missing is a Mountain View. Wonderful for a semi off the grid getaway to relax and spend quality time with a loved one. ”
