LOCATION:

Caleton 9 is located at the exclusive Cap Cana Resort in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic. The villa is located at Punta Espada golf course, overlooking hole 10/17 and the ocean.

Cap Cana is a large, gated resort & residential community with 24-hour gated entrance and security. This is one of the premier resorts in the Dominican Republic and a favorite luxury destination for discerning travelers and celebrities worldwide, not to mention a popular filming location for Hollywood and Netflix movies. Cap Cana stands as a premier destination that offers an array of luxurious amenities, pristine beaches, and world-class facilities that create an idyllic setting for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.

The resort offers a wide array of amenities, including Juanillo Beach, considered one of the Caribbean's finest, and Api Beach Club at the marina. Additionally, you can enjoy Punta Espada, an oceanside golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, renowned for its excellence. Other attractions include restaurants, bars, beach clubs, tennis and paddle courts, Lago Azul with kayaks and paddleboards, an equestrian center and polo club, running and walking paths, and the El Dorado Water Park (opened in 2024). The resort also features mini markets, a large marina with restaurants and bars, a casino, shops, fitness centers, and more. For those looking to explore beyond the resort, the Puntacana Shopping Village and Blue Mall Puntacana are conveniently located just outside the property.

Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) is located right close to the resort - 8 kilometers or about 5 miles from the resort’s entrance, and Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) is about a 3-hour drive away.

NOTE: You’ll have 1 golf touring cart included with the villa rental for transportation around the resort.

THE SPACE:

Caleton 9 is a stunning 4-bedroom, 4 1/2 bath, 9,000 sq. ft., 2-story villa located at Punta Espada golf course (ranked #1 in the Caribbean) with great views of holes 10, 17, and the Caribbean Sea! All rooms, except for the primary suite are located downstairs on the 1st floor (UK ground floor).

The style of the villa is very tropical with beautiful woodwork, a traditional, Dominican “Cana” palm leaf roof, and high ceilings.

The indoor living area, dining area, and renovated kitchen is one open floorplan (all downstairs) with open sides that allow the warm wind to flow freely and abundantly through the house! Please note that there are no walls or air-conditioning in this part of the house. Ceiling fans and the palm-leaf roof keeps this space cool throughout the day and night. There are screens (weather curtains) that can be rolled down in case it rains. There are several cozy sitting areas for you to enjoy and a dining table that seats 8-10 people comfortably.

The modern kitchen, complete with an island, provides ample workspace and all the necessary equipment for preparing delicious meals during your stay. However, there's no need to worry about cooking, as a private chef is included in the rental (groceries are not included).

Step outside to the amazing pool area, which has a large swimming pool & Jacuzzi and an expansive pool deck with sunloungers and outdoor furniture. Enjoy the view of the golf course and the ocean from here!

THE BEDROOMS:

Caleton 9 has 4 bedrooms: 1 bedroom upstairs and 3 bedrooms downstairs.

All bedrooms have air-conditioning and ceiling fans!

Bedroom 1 (upstairs): The primary suite with 1 King bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, separate living area with 1 Queen sofa bed, walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a private balcony with furniture and impressive golf and ocean views.

Bedroom 2 (downstairs) with 2 Queen beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, closet, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a balcony overlooking the golf course and the ocean.

Bedroom 3 (downstairs) with 1 King bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a terrace.

Bedroom 4 (downstairs) with 2 Queen beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, closet, ensuite bathroom with shower, and a terrace.

When you stay at Caleton 9, you can enjoy the following villa amenities:

Access to the exclusive “Caleton Beach Club” at Eden Roc Cap Cana (a Relais & Chateaux hotel). Beach club facilities include restaurants and bars ($), swimming pools, and a Blue Flag-certified beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and lifeguards. Consumption of food and beverages, gratuities, and the use of other services at the beach club are not included in the villa rental and must be paid directly at the beach club.

VILLA STAFF:

Chef: Your private Spanish-speaking chef will prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be enjoyed at the villa (groceries are not included). The chef may reside on the property in a separate living area.

Butler: The Spanish-speaking butler can serve drinks, and food, and generally helps around the house. The butler may reside on the property in a separate living area.

Housekeeper: The Spanish-speaking housekeeper will clean the villa, make the beds, and wash towels and linens (usually every 3rd day). We do not offer personal laundry service. The housekeeper may reside on the property in a separate living area.

Villa Manager: You’ll also have an English- and Spanish-speaking villa manager available during your stay. This is your go-to person for any questions or if you need any services that you haven’t booked before your arrival. The villa manager will greet you when you arrive at the villa, check you in, and will be available daily throughout your entire stay.

Amazing location, fantastic staff (Kerling, Calderon, Franklin, Rosa, Alix, Adderly), and big benefit to having access to the Eden Roc. Booking and arriving/departing was very user friendly. We look forward to joining them again in the future.

Tropical Paradise

When we first walked through the doors and saw the pool, golf course, and ocean, we immediately knew we made a great decision. The Villa: The photos in the listing were accurate, but when the villa is experienced in real life, it is even better. It is larger than we expected and was perfect for our group of 4 couples. The open-aired common area was a perfect place for gathering to enjoy meals, relax around the pool, play games, and just enjoy the spectacular view of the golf course and the ocean. The rooms are all nice. We found it a bit odd that there was a master suite that was so much larger than the other three rooms. That was not ideal for a group of 4 couples. However, the listing showed that. So, it was not a surprise. The only issue we had with the rooms was the unusually loud air conditioner, which woke some people up during the night every time it kicked on. Otherwise, the rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Location: The location of the villa couldn't be much better. As previously mentioned, the view is spectacular. It is also conveniently located just a short walk from the Eden Roc Beach Club. Service: The service we received at the villa was as good as we have received on any vacation. The chef was excellent. We purchased the silver meal plan and enjoyed every meal thoroughly. Our concierge was fantastic. He learned what we liked and brought it to us constantly. The rest of the staff was also great.

Lovely Team, but house and cleanliness could be improved

Positives: the golf course location & beautiful views of the water were outstanding; Eden Roc hotel is a 3 minute walk & has a beach club & great restaurants; the house staff were absolutely lovely (what I say below is not meant to harm them in any way, but is meant to be used as ideas for improvement) and the house butler, is the BEST. Improvements: the house is dated & so needs extra attention to cleanliness; I don't think that the main living area floors were cleaned the whole time (e.g., the powder room had lizard poop on the walls). Cleanliness did not meet our expectations. The food (although the chef was lovely) was not very good & we chose to eat out most of the time to avoid the meals. There were also small things: e.g., the pool lounges are not adjustable and were in a position that made it impossible to sit comfortably and read a book; the main living area furniture was uncomfortable & the TV in the main area did not have any real seating around it. Although our house manager was nice, he was generally unhelpful and never checked in (he was not able to make us dinner reservations or other arrangements – he would instead give me the contact information); house has no gym and the gym at Eden Roc is NOT included with the rental – a big negative; the parking brakes on both the golf carts didn’t work. We have had much better experiences elsewhere.

Beautiful house with outstanding service

We spent the holidays with our family (4 adults and 4. children (5-14) and had a fabulous time. House is big, with lots of open air space and spacious bedrooms. Located on the golf course, faxing the ocean in a private and safe resort. Access to Eden Roc beach club and facilities is terrific. Staff was outstanding and took care of us. Management company is very effective. Better than staying in a luxury hotel.

Best location in Cap Cana

Great staff Location on the 17th hole is perfect Views of the ocean are spectacular Punta Espada is a top course and I have played a fair share of the top 100 Access to Eden Roc facilities like beach and kids club makes it all the more better The location of the villa is literally the best in Punta Cana. all the villas built in this section are thus the oldest. The owner and staff do a great job in keeping it in decent shape.
