We ordered an ocean view and could not see the ocean from our room. The WiFi was unusable from our room and our bedding was damp. We had to run the water for 30 mins to get hot water. The hotel layout is weird, we had to walk 20 mins to get to some of the restaurants. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t get any reservations for the first two nights, so we barely got to try any of the a la carte restaurants. The ones we did try, the food was mediocre. Service was a hit or miss, we had to wait 40 mins to place our order for one of the restaurants. The beach was filled with boats so the view wasn’t very scenic. The pools were nice though.

El staff en general es bien amable y eso te hace sentir muy bien; la comida en general sabrosa. La propiedad le falta mantenimiento en sentido en general; para ser un hotel caro; debiera tener mejores condiciones. Las habitaciones tienen mucho olor a humedad; lo cual es pésimo para la salud, hasta las pantallas de las lámparas tienen moho. Las lozas del borde de algunas piscinas están sueltas. Las bailarinas con las medias llenas de hueco; y quizás no pueden reemplazarlas pork no les pagan suficiente, o no les exigen lucir adecuadas. Te envían un enlace para hacer el check in pero igual cuando llegas tienes k hacer línea y los chicos del front desk, a pesar de tratar, cometen errores k te hacen esperar más de 4 horas .., a pesar de haberlo hecho online. Quiero hacer mención de Yudid Molina, k fue la persona k más nos ayudó y trato en todo momento de que nos sintiéramos bien perooo todooo no estaba en sus manos.

The property could use more staff for maintaining the grounds and all around the resort. The resort should not be a family friendly resort as the entertainment is more for adults, such as a tweark off at the pool with so many children around was shocking. 5-13 year old girl should not see this as a family friendly competition at 3 pm ! The shows were late in the evening so not much for kids to see outside the water park. There was no daily entertainment for children at all and this is a family resort. Most of the staff was wonderful and attentive to assure you are being taken care of, for some reason it’s the guys who seem more enthusiastic and excited to help you where the women we’re mostly cold , you can tell they did not want to be there. The coffee shop needs a new crew because the current lady that’s there most of the time does not like taking care of anything or anybody. Overall I gave it a high rating for some of the wonderful wait / kitchen and cleaning staff, they deserve a lot of praise for what they get paid to do.

We booked three Ocean View rooms at Lopesan and received confirmation, but upon arrival, were given Poolside View rooms on three separate floors, with no ocean view whatsoever. This was a major letdown and completely disregarded what we paid for. The problems didn’t stop there. The electrical outlets were falling out of the walls, barely functional, and had to be propped up to charge devices — a clear fire hazard, as seen in the attached photo. One of the TVs was broken and needed repairs during our stay. To make matters worse, on the day of our departure — despite having paid for late checkout — we were locked out of our rooms, nearly missing our flight trying to retrieve our luggage. Completely unacceptable. Being on different floors also made it hard for our group to spend time together, especially since the elevators were frequently out of service, eating into our vacation time. Overall, this experience was far below the standard we expected.

During my recent stay at the Lopesan. I reserved 3 Ocean View rooms; however, upon arrival, all three rooms were assigned with Poolside Views and were located on separate floors, contrary to the confirmed reservation and expectations, taking time from our day since the elevators occasionally down. In addition to the booking discrepancy, the rooms presented several maintenance and safety concerns. None of the electrical outlets were functioning properly — many were unstable, partially detached from the walls, and required makeshift support to maintain a connection. This not only created a significant inconvenience but also posed a serious fire hazard. We originally paid extra to extend our checkout time and ultimately ended up locked out of our rooms, almost missing our transportation to the airport as we waited for a manager to open the doors.

We had roaches in our room- it took 3 hours at 11:30 at night for them to switch our room- staff a lobby desk was completely unhelpful and extremely rude. We literally sat in the lobby kids and all till 2:30am waiting for him to give us a new room.
