We enjoyed our stay at Dreams Cap Cana, but there were a few downsides. As Preferred members, we expected more exclusivity, but anyone could access the Preferred pool, cabanas, and lobby without being asked. It didn’t feel like a true upgrade.
The resort is very family-oriented—every pool and beach area was full of kids, which made it hard to relax. If you’re looking for an adults-only vibe, this may not be the best fit.
I also expected more Dominican culture. The food was mostly American-style, and the music was the same—barely any Spanish music. I was really hoping for more local flavor in both food and entertainment.
On the bright side, the service was amazing. Our butler Juan was excellent and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Also, if you’re booking a romantic dinner, ask for Richie—he went above and beyond, even taking professional-looking photos and videos on our phone.
I also joined the Unlimited Vacation Club, and Paco and Miguel made the process smooth and pleasant with great customer service. I’m looking forward to future trips with more cultural experiences and a bit more adult privacy.
