We stayed for 5 days at this resort and had a great experience. The food and drinks quality were outstanding for an all-inclusive resort. For example, the meats were cooked as ordered and high quality. The room was well designed and stocked. We had a Privilege stay and enjoyed the Privilege pool with food service as well as the Privilege Lounge. We traveled with two small children and were able to enjoy most of the entertainment and resort amenities. The service was professional and caring from most staff although it was not consistent everywhere. I would like to give a shout out to Justina, Juan, and John from the Privilege pool, to Jose Miguel our butler who provided excellent service, to Dani in housekeeping, and to Jomaira at the Privilege buffet area. Overall, I would recommend this resort.

Room was enough clean. Staff was good. Lazy river was great for kids. Lots of pool were great. Food was just ok in the restaurants required the reservation. Beach was rough wave and not white sand. Lagoon was good to swim. The light house was good but they close before sunset is done. Wished they open late. In overal it’s good. Specially for family with small kids.

Super family resort. Lots of activities and facilities, ideal for kids age 2-12. Big spotless hotel rooms. Well laid out property, definitely walkable but frequent golf cart trolley service available. No need to get up early for sun chairs or palapa's at beach or pool, great choices anytime of day.

Overall the resort was good. The food was not great, but ok. Most of the staff is very nice, on a few occasions we came across very rude employees. The check in was very slow 45 minutes waiting to check in was very frustrating. The coffee shop was always understaffed.

Beach area is good and good food. Only complaint is lack of washrooms near pools. Nice swim up bars in the pools. But drinking usually causes people to need washrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean El Faro. We were there with a large family group for our aunt and uncle's 50th anniversary. Even with the size of the group, the resort was very accommodating, made it possible for us to eat and enjoy our time together as a group. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed which is exactly what we look for in a vacation.

After we checked in at this hotel we were told my one of the staff members to walk to the other side of the lobby through the doors where we would have a trolly waiting for us to take us to our rooms. My family and I did just that expecting for a trolly to be there. However, there wasn't one and we were looking around and waiting a while before one finally came. We were told that our luggage would be in our rooms when we got there. The trolly dropped us off at our building number. There wasn't anyone to escort us to our rooms, we sorta just walked around ourselves until we found them. We entered our rooms ourselves and did not see our luggage. We waited about 20-30 minutes before someone finally came with our luggage. So my initial first reaction of this resort was not great. Overall, there were some things that were not working around the hotel like certain outdoor showers. The only restaurant that is open during lunch time was the buffet. There was also another outdoor restaurant, however it only served beef burgers. Also, when we first booked our stay we were unaware that this resort had tiers. There is a "privilege" option of booking that allowed you to have access to more restaurants. There were some games on the resort that required you to pay an additional fee if you wanted to play. Staff members seemed uninterested in helping us at times. It's an OK resort but I don't think I'd want to go back.

O resort é maravilhoso, comidas excelentes. O Johanser Mazara, Guess experience specialist me ajudou muito com as reservas dos restaurantes e me supriu em tudo o que eu precisei. Uma dica eles tem um plano que é platinum que você paga $60 por dia a mais e tem alguns benefícios. Eu optei por não pegar esse plano e manter o normal e vou te falar que não fez muita diferença. No el mercado as comidas eram deliciosas. Se você espera um bar transparente e bem azul você não vai encontrar ali, a água não é tão clara igual do Caribe, mais deu para aproveitar muito. Pegue Uber do aeroporto para o resort, fica muito mais barato do que ordenar um táxi.

I love how modern everything is . Very up to date love the lobby the plaza the gym the food the pools the drinks it was all good . The entertainment by the pool was amazing thanks to Stephany . The hotel was nice & staff was very friendly.. many food options! Lots to do on the property & the hotel is very family friendly! Only thing I’d say would need some work are the bathrooms need an update!

I loved the property overall. We were a little disappointed with the spa offerings (no hot tubs), but we reconciled that with the fact that there are jacuzzi tubs in all of the rooms. I advise everyone to book with access to Privilege or El Beso. It was definitely worth it. Our concierge was amazing!

The property itself was beautiful, we encountered some issues with our room but Management took care of it. It was a great stay overall! Jose was very accommodating! He’s a great butler!
