All the restaurants are booked if you don’t book ahead of time. Didn’t get the full experience for the money I paid. Deep tub didn’t have hot water. Everything is in Spanish on the tv, half the time the tv didn’t even work. No Netflix or Hulu had to use my phone for entertainment. No club at the restaurant or casino like it was advertised. The drinks are full of sugar have to pay for the top shelf liquor or bring your own. The buffet food was the same breakfast lunch and dinner. Had to wait for food in a line if you wanted hot food. The staff looks pissed off if you don’t tip them or put very little liquor in your drink. Everything was close up on Friday night early. I complained and nothing was done to fix the problem and wanted to charge $25 an hour for later checkout

May 2025 A thoroughly relaxing week thanks to the quality of the resort, the accommodations and the excellent service provided. Even though the resort was almost full, we never felt that it was crowded or busy. This resort had more space than we have seen before: 5 pools available, three of them quite large. Never a shortage of chairs or loungers at the pool or the beach. A large shallow beach area would be great for kids (the family version of this resort is next door). The buffets and restaurants never felt full. Due to our Expedia VIP status we unexpectedly received butler service. Luis gave us excellent service - always available, usually via Whatsapp, but not intrusive. He got us all the information, service, drinks etc that we needed. A very welcome perk! Rooms were modern and very clean. Big shower and separate tub. Spacious shower, lots of pressure and very hot water. Everything worked well all the time. Super kingsize bed was very comfortable, with a variety of pillows available, robes and slippers. A nice large-screen TV and a good-sized balcony in our garden-view room (which actually overlooked a park/small jungle next door) - nice! Food at the buffet restaurants was excellent - fresh vegies and delicious fruits, lots of variety, including fish, meats and local foods, custom-made stir-fry, pasta, omelets etc. The desserts were great - creme brulee of various types was the best we have ever tasted. Excellent value for $Cdn 4200 for flight and accommodation. Only

We went to this resort last year and loved it so much we went back this year. Unfortunately very poor service now. Staff does not care.Very grumpy and not attentive. We tip well when we get service and year before people provided good service as it a way to earn more money. This year all tips are being collected and shared with other staff so no individual motivation to provide good service. The lazy unhappy staff are receiving their share of tips without providing good service or not. Many times never received any drinks with meals and felt like a ghost during most meals.

We really loved our stay. Staff was super friendly, greeted by Awhilda and Lucy kept us informed of what was going on throughout the resort. The Pool bar was actually very social and the place to be. Bartenders Kelwin, Yoses and Francisco kept the drinks flowing and entertained a friendly environment. La Palapa also had a great staff, Junior at the bar and wait staff Pamala were a couple of our favorites. Overall our room was very nice and we very much enjoyed our relaxation and stress free vacation at Serenade. We will be going there again!

Food was wonderful. For the most part staff was great. Disappointed that we could not get the function of our bathtub resolved after speaking with 5 staff members. Only 2 out of 3 room service orders ever arrived. Not sure if i will book here again.

Really good time, staff is super genuine and always ready to help. The resort is nice with three pools one of them is super quiet and relaxing. The food is also really good with a lot of options. Restaurants are always really good. If you are on the adult side, there’s a lot of amenities you can use on the family side. Rooms were clean, at some point though there was no running water in the rooms, they were able to fix it super fast. Overall good stay.

Beautiful property! Very relaxing place for our honeymoon and the beachfront is beautiful for sun tanning! Great food as well, especially the dominican-inspired dishes. Would definitely recommend this place to stay if you are considering it.

Day 1, my friends came to my room for game night and we got locked in. Maintenance had to break the door oof the hinge to let us out. I was moved to a room that was not as good as the first room I was in. Room service took 3 hours to be delivered after calling several times to complain. There were no really fun activities for young people and there were a lot of older people at the resort. Food was not good and we ate better off the resort. I got sick from the food at the sports bar that’s opened late. The resort and cleanliness is great but I wouldn’t go back. We went to the Hard Rock every night and ate well and had fun. They were lit over there.

The facilities are really beautiful and modern; like a middle-class White Lotus resort. The food was just okay. The service was pretty awful. I would say 25% of the staff are very friendly, 25% are straight up RUDE, and 50% couldn't care less about you. My room, which was actually very nice, flooded TWICE due to a clogged drain. I had to clean it up both times despite putting in a service request. Room Service took 2.5 hours and arrived completely wrong. The front desk's reply to both of these issues was "Okay, sorry." The icing on the cake was getting security called on me during check-out. I am a very calm and non-confrontational person; I stated how I did not think it was fair to be charged $90 for not returning a fabric bracelet which they loosely secured on my wrist 7 days prior -- the same piece of fabric which they cut off your wrist and throw in the trash anyways (I DID return the actual room-key). The location is beautiful and a lot of the staff were very welcoming. But the entire operation at Serenade is VERY unorganized. Many of the scheduled events were frequently late or cancelled without any notice. In summary, do your research and stay somewhere else in Punta Cana. This is NOT a 5 star resort.
