The beach, the staff.. they were top notch! I was initially concerned when I read few bad reviews, and I was regret making the choice. However, I was happy that I came. They exceeded my expectations. The place was clean and the staffs were wonderful. The biggest issue was some of the guest who were not nice. They were the problem and they probably went and wrote bad reviews. 😂😂 I would recommend bringing a lot of dollar bills. They don’t demand or expect tips, but why would you not want to tip them? Loved my time here and I am already planning another trip with friends!!!!

This was not what I was expecting at all coming for a vacation. The resort itself was nice and very clean and upkept. A few issues that stuck out. First, the food. The food was very underwhelming and not very good at all. Paying a lot of money for a "5 star resort" to get well below average food was disappointing. Secondly, the service was not at all up to par. Not sure why this was but every time we put in a request, it NEVER got done. We had to continuously go to the front desk and ask someone to please handle the matter. Our phone did not work in the room, bugs in the room, and no soap in the bathroom. When I left a request into the portal, the reason that it did not get complete is because they tried calling the room and nobody answered.... I cannot make this up. Overall, 3/10 experience and would not do again.

This resort looks beautiful but don’t let it fool you. They are so inconsistent especially when it came to food, drinks and services. Our first night there we went to the buffet for dinner and nothing had seasoning or salt and other foods tasted nothing but salty. They would take 30min to bring us a glass of water, flies all over the food, no AC, and I was given RAW CHICKEN. The other restaurants you reserve weren’t great either. The portions are so small and flavor was also inconsistent. The only thing good there was the handmade pizzas. The drinks were terribly sweet and when you watch them make it they use cheap liquor. We asked if they can use the don julio or Malibu and it was $15 A SHOT. Or for preferred guest only. We found one guy in the lobby who made the drinks better and stuck to him the whole trip. The rooms were nice looking but We had a two bed and one of the beds were stained with black and red marks, and the other bed had hair behind the pillows. We were a group of seven and in the other rooms they were ants and when we called service for them, they took four days ( we were already packing to leave) to do something about it. There’s so many things wrong with this trip if I can give it negative stars I would

It’s a great location. Hotel offered okay food and okay service. Everything they speak of is USD. The services and excursions were extremely expensive. Ice cream shop was only open for short periods of time and not consistent. Not worth the price paid to stay at hotel. A lot other better options in the area for much better service.

The food wasn’t all that great… the restaurants outside the buffet were nicer but I think the DR loves Turnips/potatoes. This type of food repeated a lot in the restaurants outside the buffet. Cleaning staff was great! Language barrier is a problem if you don’t know Español which is understandable. We only knew the basics. Some employees knew English, but some knew very little or no English. They take Dominican Pesos as well as USD. Only one ATM in the lobby of the resort. It was down for about 36 hours or so. That meant less tips for staff which was there problem being the ATM was down. DO NOT do any excursions unless it’s specifically through the resort as it’s unsafe in the areas outside the resort. The weather and scenery was beautiful. We were “Preferred” members which was great as paid more for our room and had a bit of special treatment which was nice. So much seaweed at the beach which the smell was awful and the beach wasn’t as beautiful as I’ve seen outside the U.S. Glad I went as it was an experience but I don’t think I’ll be back to the DR.

First of all I am handicapped. When we arrived the rooms were not ready. I emailed the resort on three separate occasions to be sure we would have adjoining rooms. That didn't happen. Not even close. My daughter was in a room a floor below me and I am on the third floor of this resort. The elevators do not work most of the time. Even when the employees know they don't work they walk right past them and ignore the fact. When told they simply state they will call maintenance and the next time I walk by needing the elevator, which could be 30 minutes or hours later, it's still not working. When we checked in we were given absolutely NO information regarding how things worked at the resort. We weren't given maps of the resort regarding restaurants or anything else was located, we weren't given room instructions as far as phone number to reach out for services like linens, room service, problems/ concerns. So each time I had a need I had to dial zero and each time they would tell me I had to come clear up (remember I am handicapped and the elevators aren't reliable) to the second floor to the front desk where we checked in to get anything needed they refused to bring anything to the room except ice was brought and so was the food service. We weren't even told that we needed to make reservations before 3:00 p.m. at the restaurants or we wouldn't be able to eat dinner anywhere but the buffet. So the first night at our "Resort" we didn't get to eat at all, because we had no informa

Not a hotel that I would recommend. The people that work there were very friendly but I spent 3 days without shampoo and shower gel. The bath towels are supposed to be white but they are grey not because they are grey, just because the way they cleaned it they still look dirty. The drinks are the worst. You are not going to get decent drink. I was not expecting the best ones but at least a decent drink, they taste awful. The restaurants were good the food at the restaurants was good and the buffet at dinner time was a better than breakfast. The buffet at breakfast time was horrible. Not one real juice, everything tasted so weird. Breakfast was horrible.

The property appeared to be only at 2/3 occupancy and we never had a problem finding a lounger near the pool or on the beach. Even though there was a fair amount of seaweed on the beach it was neatly piled and the resort had a boom which kept a lot more away from the beach. It had a great sandbar that you could walk out to and the water was only shallow. The al la carte restaurants were very good except for the steakhouse as the chef didn’t know how to cook a well done steak to my wife’s liking. It would’ve been more enjoyable if the a la carte restaurants had A/C The resort put on some enjoyable evening entertainment and a very good Beach Party with a music mix that you would hear played back in a Canadian disco The constant attempts to get you to buy a time share at the start of our vacation became wearing until the regulars realized that we were DEFINITELY NOT interested and left us alone. Don’t fall for the line of a gourmet breakfast as it’s 3 hrs you’ll not get back from your day as it’s a way to get you to listen to a salesperson selling time share. We had fallen for it once on a previous trip and said never again.

Rooms were very nice, beach was super dis-satisfying. However, the pools were very enjoyable. Lots of seating space around pools and eating areas. Entertainment was decent. Lots of maintenance and cleaning was happening during visit. The people were not friendly and could be a little more pleasant. The food was alright I did enjoy the pre book restaurants more than buffet. A little light on the alcoholic drinks too.
