“We enjoyed being right on the water. We fished a lot so that was great.The home had everything we needed for our stay. The inside was very spacious and clean and the bathroom was adequate. We did not use the basement area except for the washer and dryer. I did notice neither of the games were working. The outside is dated and needs a good cleaning but did not take away from our stay. All in all it was a good stay and filled all of our needs.”

“My friends and I had an overnight birthday stay here, and we really wish we could have planned the whole weekend.It was absolutely beautiful outside, we genuinely sat on the back porch for hours then enjoyed the front porch rocking chairs in the morning. We were so surprised by the amenities, including a blackstone! The entire cabin was gorgeous, and we loved using the kitchen. The only complaint we could have are we couldn't find the firewood (but that may have been on us.)Our stay was so nice……

“Heron Rest is a beautiful home. It is new, clean, and well appointed. We have stayed at many properties at Kentucky Lake over the years and this was, by far, the best. The indoor space is very comfortable. The bed setup gave six adults ample space to be comfortable. The back screened in porch is incredible with a gorgeous ravine view. The massive front porch made for great front porch sittin’ with a nice cup of coffee. The location in Western Shores was great - the dock was easy enough to get to……

“This is our second stay here and we stayed in 2023 and 2025 nice and big quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.we have family that lives here and have a boat in a slip at Buchanans. Gives u a nice view ”
