“We needed a place to house our extended family of 9 for a few days near Newburgh and Fishkill. This place was perfect! There was plenty of space for everyone, and everything about the house and property was top notch. We also visited Cold Spring and Beacon, both of which are cute little towns with lots of character. The backyard firepit came in handy too when we entertained some local friends. Ida and Matt were great hosts and were responsive to our every question and need. If/when we are back……

“We stayed in early May, so didn't get to enjoy the lake, other than the serene view from the many windows in the house. Bird lovers will enjoy the many, many birds observable through the sliding glass doors and audible constantly. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed to cook our meals. We found plenty of places to hike. We found the description on vrbo a little confusing because the house next door was also pictured. We figured it out, though. ”

“The house was clean and nicely decorated. Had lots of things to do inside and out. Was slightly disappointed that the lake wasn’t closer. when looking on the pictures we didn’t notice that there was a main street between the house and the lake. It wasn’t easy for for some of the guests who get down the steep hill from the house to the street and then another sleep hill to the lake. As long as you know that going into the rental, you’ll be fine. ”

“Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. The hosts were very responsive in communication and I appreciated them providing everything we needed. ”

“My girlfriends and mine were looking for a nice weekend getaway to unwind. The property was very clean. The basement level seemed a little more disheveled than pictured and very cold. Unfortunately we didn’t spend any time down there. The rest of the property was wonderful and spotless! Beds were comfortable.”

“We stayed for a birthday weekend with a few other couples and had a great time. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and each 'area' of the house is incredibly comfortable (especially the movie theater). If you need anything there are plenty of stores close by and the area is very safe. Overall, no complaints and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.”

“This place is amazing!! The house had everything we needed and more. We really enjoyed our stay and also be able to host some of our family in the area was precious. My daughters rented equipment for the babies which worked out well. The house is very spacious and 5 adults and 3 children fit nicely. Very highly recommend. The pier was fun to hang out on but due to weather we were to enjoy the lake as much. Easy to find, and owners were very responsive. ”

“This was such a fun place to stay with my family who live in the area but we always have a hard time fitting. We all fit comfortably. It is a well maintained antique home with lots of nice features. The kids had a blast playing hide and seek. The house is very clean and plenty of linens and towels. Kitchen is set up well for a rental. Communication was fantastic. Instructions were easy and clear. I would highly recommend this place. Great little markets nearby and a lovely quiet neighborhood.……
