Situated halfway between Castelnau de Montmiral and Puycelsi, Pech Long provides a chance to relax in complete peace in the Tarnaise countryside.
The house is set in a hectare of garden on a hill surrounded below by ancient oak forest and has a private pool.
Two ensuite double bedroomsand two other double rooms served by a family bathroom with his-and-her basins, roll-top bath and a walk-in shower.
Pech Long is a renovated Tarnaise farmhouse. The interior blends traditional French with a clean modern style, centred around a natural palette.
The house is cool in summer, warm in winter and has everything you need for a pit-stop or a longer stay to switch off and spend time in Toscane Occitane, this beautiful, historic area of south-west France.
The garden is large and rambling and there is virtually no noise or light pollution.
Pech Long sits between two ancient villages (Puycelsi and Castelnau de Montmiral) at the outer edge of the Commune de Puycelsi, at the heart of which is a beautiful, honey-coloured medieval, walled village. Listed in Plus Beaux Village de France and just a few minutes drive from the house, Puycelsi is a must-see. Sitting atop a steep hill and surrounded by valleys filled with vines, sunflowers, ancient forests and agricultural land, and despite the size of the village (it's population is less than 500), it features some truly lovely restaurants.
Castelnau-de-Montmiral is a 6 minture drive in the opposite direction and another medieval fortified village, or bastide. It is renowned for its well-preserved architecture, including half-timbered houses and a central square with arched arcades. The village is also recognized as one of "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France" (The Most Beautiful Villages of France).
