Amazing hotel and staff! My every need was met and there was always a staff member close by who was willing to help. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready, they took our bags from us and allowed us to get ready in the change rooms. We went to our excursion and came back to find our luggage in our rooms! They even offered late check out for us! Ahmed is the best bartender ever! Made the best drinks and always had a smile on his face! Too many amazing staff to call out. I will miss Lux Marijani and the memories I had made over that week! The only down side I would say is the location is a bit far from stone town and other excursions around Zanzibar. However, the remote location makes for relaxation, quiet and great beaches! Expect a minimum of 1.5 hours each way to commute into the city areas like Stone Town. Other than that, for what you get in quality and celebrity treatment, the distance is the minimum of your worries! The staff literally cater to your every need! One other story, I came back from an excursion and needed dental floss. A staff member was prepared to call a pharmacy to get someone to deliver it to my room. I declined because it wasn’t necessary but just goes to demonstrate how serious they take guest satisfaction! Loved this place and will miss it tremendously.

My husband and I didn’t spend a lot of time on the property as we got married on the beach at a nearby hotel….but they decorated the room and had flowers for us at reception when we returned from our wedding. The staff is super friendly, grounds are clean and customer service is great.

Very stylishly designed hotel. Beautiful decor & tropical gardens leading to a picture perfect white sandy beach. Gorgeous large comfortable rooms. The perfect place to chill after our safari’s & stay in Stone Town. Thank you to the chef for fantastic food, especially the curries. All the staff were so lovely and the service was great. We also enjoyed the low tide sea safari with one of the staff. We highly recommend this as a beautiful chilled place to stay.

4 day after Safari break

Hotel is nice. You do get hassled on the beach. The different food and drinks packages are confusing so do your maths on regular intake. Hotel is expensive but so are all hotels in Zanzibar.

Veldig imøtekommende personale som vil deg godt på alle måter til enhver tid. Store rom med fine fasiliteter. Som på alle hoteller i området er det lite som skjer utenfor de bevoktede murene men hotellet ligger helt på stranden. Taxi kommer på bestilling og tar deg ditbdu ønsker.

Other than the beds we found to be too hard even though we asked for the soft one, the rest of our stay was amazing the different dinning themes, the pool, the ocean being right there. But the highlight was the staff they are so friendly and absolutely give you the best service.

hotels com misleading photos

hotels com offers 2 different room alternatives. I bought a superior room but it was said that the room had a sea view and a garden view. In the images, the superior room type had a sea view. I wrote to correct the misleading advertisement. The informal virtual representative replied as if making fun of me. Even though I said that I was a gold member and asked for help, he did not solve the problem. I will not prefer hotels com.

Fantastisk hotell

Vi bodde 6 netter her. De ansatte får hver enkelt til å føle seg svært ønsket - alle er gode i engelsk, blide, imøtekommende og har et høyt service-nåvå. Hotellet har en egen privat del av stranden med deilige, komfortable solsenger og parasoll med store badehåndklær du kan bytte når som helst. Lekkert basseng med tilhørende bar og spa-avdeling. Her finner du også et lite, men godt nok treningsrom. Rommene er delikate de gjøres rent 1-2 ganger daglig. Vi hadde ikke all-inclusive, men bestilte oss Ál la carte fra de koselige restaurantene på området. Da vi skulle videre fra Lux Marijani og inn til Stone Town, ønsket vi å dra innom en krydderplantasje - hotellet ordnet med skyss slik at vi det ordnet.

poor menù a la carte with too high prices and especially the cost of the wines for the quality they suggest. In two weeks no a single dish changed.Room service is too slow (one hour is the average waiting) and the food arrive completely cold, I tried this service twice. The housekeeper once opened the room door not knocking at 8.30 am and they knock the door at 9.30 pm to sanitize.
