Very convenient location in the Old Quarters. Comfortable and spacious room. No elevators but I guess it's OK, it's just a short flight of stairs. Furniture a little dated but the bed is comfortable. Owners are very friendly and approachable. The hotel is located near D'Youville where there are many buses going to diff parts of Quebec City, including the airport.

Great location, easy to walk around the Old Quebec City area. The building is nice, seems like a lot of the original architecture has been maintained. The rooms were sizable and beds comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something that can make you feel a bit like a local.

We enjoyed our stay at North House Auberge la Chouette. It’s conveniently located just before the old fort entrance of Old Quebec City and near many restaurants to choose from. Despite travelling with a 90 year old… she was still able to go up the swirling stairs without difficulty. We would go back for sure!

We felt it was a fire death waiting to happen! No fire doors in the hallway. We were in room 316 with no window to open for fresh air and only an emergency door which we were unable to open even if there was a fire. The wiring was Jerry rigged all over the room, looked very unsafe. During our four day stay the bed was not made once and only one change of towels after we saw someone in the hallway with them. The old towels were left in the room. There were no drawers for clothing…..I could go on. We felt absolutely ripped off. It felt like a prison room, dark and dingy. The only thing good was the location. If we could get our money back it would be great!!

Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything; lots of restaurants cafe near by. Located within the walls of Old Québec, the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac was 4 to 5 blocks away. the best location to discover Quebec City on a budget. 2 blocks from Quebec Parliament; Touring Quebec Parliament was free and lunch was amazing at the Parliament Restaurant.

La habitación es muy bonita, la cama y almohadas muy cómodas, el proceso de ingreso a la propiedad y check out muy fácil y rápido. Aunque el hotel no tiene staff en sitio, estuvieron atentos por SMS y respondieron de inmediato cuando solicitamos ayuda por esa vía. Definitivamente volveríamos a hospedarnos ahí.

This is a no frills hotel. It was clean, comfortable and in a great location. However if you are coming in by train and plan to walk to the hotel , know that is a vertical walk up a mountain. They communicate well and we were able to store our luggage.

Il s’agit de ma deuxième visite dans cette auberge, et ce ne sera certainement pas la dernière. L'accès est facile grâce à un système robotisé, l'endroit est très propre et l'emplacement est idéal pour marcher. Le stationnement est payant, mais il se trouve à seulement 5 minutes à pied.

Neat old building with several large rooms to choose from. It’s within a few minutes walk to the old city center and the lower town. In about 10 minutes walking you can board city buses to go to Montmorency Falls or nearly anywhere else in the greater Quebec City area. There is no elevator at the hotel - access upper floor rooms by spiral staircase

Really nice place! The winding staircase is a little difficult to manage with suitcases/luggage but overall a really nice hotel! Check-in at an automated hotel was effortless. The phone number provided to contact for questions/concerns doesn’t seem to have anyone ever available to answer or return voicemails. Would recommend working on that.

This is by no means a luxury hotel, but serves very well as a budget choice! It is in a great location, close to all the major sites in Old Quebec. Highly recommend as a budget choice.
