Beautiful Quebec City

We enjoyed the apartment very much! We were surprised by how roomy it is, with a seating room, kitchen and two bedrooms. The shower was wonderful! It was conveniently located near restaurants and shops, but was very quiet. It was within walking distance to the old city as described in the listing.

Perfect Location

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The owners had made some updates, so the photos weren't a perfect match, but it was lovely. I will say, as with any older, apartment-style home, the walls are pretty thin. We had construction outside at 7am (not the host's fault) as well as noisy neighbors (again, not their fault). I'm just including the information here because, if you're a light sleeper, you might want to bring ear plugs or a sound machine. The neighborhood is perfect and the home is precious. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful apartment in a great location in the Montcalm neighborhood. The host is very friendly and responsive. The apartment is in an historic building with a lot of interesting architectural features, is well appointed and has a beautiful, modern bathroom that seems to have been recently renovated. It is located on a busy street but traffic quiets down in the evening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again in the future.

Perfect place to stay during Carnaval

The apartment was perfect for our trip to Quebec to visit the Carnaval activities and visit Old Quebec City. The space was comfortable and has the old city charm. Parking was convenient even in the middle of 2 significant snow falls.

Excellent Location and Access

Thank you Nina, for providing a comfortable place to rest our heads during Quebec Winter Carnival 2025. It was located in a great neighborhood with 20 restaurants within walking distance. Easily walkable to the Frontenac Hotel and Old Quebec. Host was quick to answer our questions. All in all, a great place to stay!

Nous sommes arrivés et ne savions pas du tout où nous stationner car aucune affiche sur place. Nous avons donc appelé le propriétaire.Deuxième appel lorsque nous nous sommes aperçus que nous étions bloqués dans le cagibi. Il fallait faire le tour de l'immeuble avec nos bagages pour accéder à la location. Dans le logement : déconvenue : les photos de présentation ne correspondent plus du tout à la réalité, à savoir, aucun fauteuil ni bureau dans l'entrée et dans les chambres. Pas de table de chevet ni lampe dans la chambre enfant (qui est plutôt en grand placard), une seule prise dans l'angle du lit, unique armoire verrouillée par un cadenas.Remontées d'odeurs nauséabondes provenant de la salle de bain située juste à coté de la chambre parentale. Plusieurs prises électriques défectueuses. Les sols sont défoncés par endroit. Une porte dans la chambre parentale (radiateur hors service) donnant sur le cagibi occasionne un gros passage d'air froid, passage d'air au niveau de la fenêtre. Très peu d'ustensiles dans la cuisine (assiettes en carton), vaisselle très sale, mal lavée avec des traces de gras et de nourriture. Etat des murs, plafonds, plinthes et portes déplorable. Porte d'entrée difficile à ouvrir et à refermer. Voisins audibles alors qu'ils parlent normalement (mauvaise isolation phonique). Nous avons 160 photos à disposition qui attestent de ces déclarations. Ne plus proposer ce logement à la location !!!! Nous sollicitons un remboursement partiel.

A Nice Stay

Checkin was slow , but that was our fault. Communication was good. Apartment was nicely stocked. However, I could have used a hair dryer. Location was great! Plains of Abraham, the beautiful old Quebec hotel, and many bars and restaurants. Super comfortable bed!!! I would recommend.

Charming Suite

We really enjoyed our stay. The suite came exactly as posted online. The host was easy to get hold of when we called her. Location was great. The only complaint was the people above us who decided to drag around alot of furniture (at least that's what it sounded like) each morning from 7:30-8:30 and each evening at approximately 8:30pm. It was very loud. Not sure if they live there or were vacationing - hopefully just vacationing and then it's a non-issue for others. Besides that I would recommend this property.

Great location- historic home

This was a perfect location and a home with a lot of character. Very clean with the exception of the shower which had a musty smell (probably the curtain). The communication with property manager was excellent from start to finish. Walkable to the park (plains of Abraham) and the old city. Walkable shops and grocery on Cartier too. Lots of walkable museums. Parking in back was easy ! The in room guide had a ton of resources for local activity. A few were closed since COVID. The space is a little dark being on the ground floor but loved the historic nature of it inside and out and perfect for those who need ground floor. I would definitely stay here again !

Top spot

We had a great atay in Quebec City. The apartment is in a very good location only a short walk to the walls and the old town. We had the downstairs apartment. The apartment is a little less flamorous than the photos would suggest, but nevertheless, we had everything we needed; a good bed, all the facilites worked well, secure and a top location. The host was terrific. Quick responses.the facilities we needed

Great location but very old building with uneven floors and doors that stick when shut. Old electrical and no plugins in second bedroom. The stay was comfortable enough but not quite what I expected.

Perfect location, low quality property

Loved the location right on Grand Alee. Restaurants, bars, and shops right outside the door! Check-in was problematic. We were given parking instructions, followed them and were accosted by a parking attendant when we parked as instructed. Waited while he called the owner to verify. The space is strangely arranged: a tiny pass-through kitchen, very small bedroom, low quality linens, curtains, etc. What should be a beautiful window seat unusable due to heavy drapes and small, thin cushions. Shower was great! Very little attention to decor - random stuff out everywhere. Nothing to enhance the character of the unique space. No personalization or nod to the location. TV not workable. A/C was on high; couldn't adjust, just turned it off. Very loud; noises from upper unit at all times. No extra blankets or pillows anywhere. No books, games, information about the area, maps, guest book. Overall, would definitely stay in this area, but not this unit.

Best feature was location

While the location was great and the host was very responsive, it is an older home and the website pictures were not accurate. Kitchen, living room and one bedroom different. Since it is an older home, the insulation between floors is poor...we could hear every movement and words of guests upstairs. Also the kitchen was not well stocked. One pan. One pot. No lids. 3. More One pot. One pan. No lids.

Within Mile of Lower City

The apartment was good, owner a good communicator. Location was excellent, near Palins of Abraham, an easy mile walk to the lower city. Not a bright apartment, but we didn't spend much time there. TV didn't work, but no big deal. Quebec is a fabulous city, plenty of opportunities for site seeing over 2+ days. People are very friendly.
