Immersed in the countryside of the Val D'Orcia in the municipality of Radicofani, the house on 2 floors has 2 spacious and bright double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, 4 burners, oven, dishwasher, machine for coffee and kettle), large living room with fireplace.
Outdoor terrace accessible from rooms, large garden around the house and parking space. The house is located about 15 minutes from three splendid S. Casciano dei Bagni, Bagni S. Filippo and Bagno Vignoni. You can take advantage of natural pools with thermal water at 38 ° C or take advantage of the spas present.
The summit of Mount Amiata is about 30 minutes away, in winter in the presence of snow there are 12 ski lifts, in summer you can make pleasant and relaxing excursions or trekking.
Casetta di Costantino is located near Via Francigena and is an excellent starting point for visiting the Tuscan cities of Florence, Siena, Arezzo and Grosseto, also the capital Rome is just 2 hours away by car and the entrance to the highway is at 20 minutes (Closed).

Lovely stay in Radicofani

Lovely villa in southern Tuscany. The Val d'Orcia doesn't immediately have the big ticket charms of northern Tuscany but it does have plenty of lovely small villages and towns and Radicofani is one of them - a less well known gem with plenty of character and worth a visit. The villa was as billed - very pretty, clean and well equipped. I would give the whole experience 5/5 except the villa is down a very bumpy steep unmade track which damaged the suspension of my car. I did not see this mentioned in the property description. I would advise you to think carefully whether this is the right property for you - if you haven't rented/own an SUV.

Sehr schönes Haus - mit einem gravierenden Aber

Das Haus selbst hat uns recht gut gefallen und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Absolute Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe. Silvano der Gastgeber hat sich alle Mühe gegeben, auch wenn die Kommunikation mit ihm (er spricht ausschließlich italienisch) etwas schwierig war. Wir haben uns mit einer Übersetzungs-App halbwegs verständigen können. Aber es gibt einen Punkt, der meiner Meinung nach in die Beschreibung gehört: die Zufahrtsstraße zu dem Anwesen gleicht einem Felsenweg im tiefsten australischen Outback! Hier wäre ein Fahrzeug mit Vierradantrieb notwendig. Ein Befahren dieser "Straße" ohne dass der Unterboden meines Autos Kontakt mit dem Weg hatte, war nicht möglich. Deswegen gibt es einen Punkt Abzug in der Gesamtbewertung.

Ein schönes Haus!

Ein wunderbares Haus - mitten in herrlicher Natur! Mit dem Auto kann man alle hübschen Orte in der südlichen Toskana erreichen. Für Menschen die Ruhe und Stille suchen ist das Haus perfekt. Auch für Familien die Natur und Tiere lieben. Vielen Dank für die schönen zwei Wochen.

Gute Erholung

In der wenig besiedelten Gegend um Radicofani kann man sich gut erholen. Die Berggipfel bieten fantastische Ausblicke. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants oder auch Wanderwege liegen nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe, sondern man muss immer einige Strecken mit dem Auto zurücklegen. Der Vermieter Silvano ist sehr freundlich und diskret, spricht aber nur Italienisch. Die Kommunkation hat trotzdem funktioniert. Das Anwesen liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem Pferdehof, auf dem es auch viele Hunde, Hähne und andere Tiere gibt, die manchmal die Nachtruhe unterbrechen.

Sehr schönes traditionelles Ferienhaus in fantastischer Umgebung

Wir (Familie,3 Personen) waren eine Woche lang im Juli/August vor Ort(sehr Heiß!). Die Anreise erwies sich als etwas schwierig, da das Häuschen wirklich nicht einfach zu finden ist. (Man beachte die Hinweise in der App). Die Zufahrt ist eine steile Schotterstraße. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet mit allem was man benötigt. In der Beschreibung stand etwas von einem Whirlpool, den haben wir nicht gesehen, aber auch nicht vermisst. Von hier aus kann man die Toskana gut erkunden. Radicofani, Montepulciano, Pienza und auch Sienna sind von hier gut erreichbar. Bis zum Meer benötigt man ca.2 Stunden (Tip: Spiaggia di Marina di Alberese). Sylvano, der Vermieter ist sehr nett, spricht aber nur italienisch. Seine Tochter und der Nachbar Ivan helfen hier für Touristen die des italienischen nicht mächtig sind aus. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an unseren Vermieter Sylvano.

Calme et quietude dans la bell toscane

Gite tres beau, peut etre un peu sombre mais l'environnement etmagique. Prevoir une voiture en bon etat la route pour atteindre le gite est rugueuse. L'endroit et ultrac alme et situe dans la BELLE toscane . Le gite manque cependant de quelques éléments: la wifi indispensable aujourd'hui, des produits de base (cafe sucre, sac poubelle etc ...), meme en petite quantité histoire d'être depanne à l'arrivée L'accueil est slmple pour nous du fait de la barrière de la langue mais il reste tres cordiale.

Belle maison de caractère

Au milieu de la nature et des cheveaux, belle maison typique avec propriétaires accueillants, et tres bon emplacement geographique. Radicofani est un beau village et la vallée d'Orcia magnifique. Y rester une semaine ne suffit pas, il faudra y retourner !

Ruhiges Haus in der Natur

Für alle die die Ruhe lieben, und vom Alltagstrubel weg wollen. Das kleine Städtchen Radicofani ist nicht weit um sich mit dem nötigsten zu versorgen. Ein Rundgang lohnt sich ebenfalls. Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in Tagesausflug-Distanz. Das Haus ist mitten in der Natur gelegen und bietet innen und aussen viel Platz.

The house is absolutely great. Richly equipped in a dreamlike location and in heavenly peace. Silvano, the landlord, is incredibly nice and always available when you need him. We would come back anytime!!!

Nous avons passé 15 jours dans ce merveilleux endroit. La maison est bien équipée, fidèle à la description du site. La terrasse et le jardin sont très agréables , Sylvano et Romina très accueillants. Tout était bien!

La maison est très agréable et nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. Comme déjà dit à Sylvano et à sa charmante fille, nous aurions aimé avoir au moins deux chaises longues. D'autre part, nous avons également trouvé que le chemin d'accès à la maison est vraiment très difficile. Chemin très pentu et rocailleux. Il vaut mieux avoir un véhicule du style SUV. Un grand merci à Sylvano pour son sourire et ses délicieuses tomates. Un vrai régal!

Nice house and good starting point for traveling around

As we arrived at the Campsite to meet Silvano we were extremely surprised that he already waited for us together with a German speaking lady - Monika. We then drove around 5 minutes to the house - as you can read from other reviews the way is described as an adventure and a bit difficult for some kind of cars and this might be true if you have a car like a Ferrari or any other sports car or lowered car - I have a very huge 3 row car (SUV like) and had not issues at all. The house is very nice and well equipped (we have been 3 people and 2 dogs). Form the inside the house is really in Tuscany stile - dark wood, stone floor, wooden shutters. You have 2 terraces you are able to use - depending on the sunshine. We enjoy staying at the house. Only one tip for all dog owners - if you have small dogs (not much space between ground and stomach) or dogs with long hair - you have a lot of burdock and others that you would have to get out of your puppies fur after you went out with the dogs. Thanks again to Silvano! He and his wife have been very friendly and accommodating!

Wonderful location and stay close to Radicofani

We spent amazing two weeks in this wonderful and quite house with panoramic view on the beautiful Val d´Orcia. Silvano, our host, is a charming and welcoming man, who waited for us at our arrival together with a lady taking care of translation. The house is spacious and well equipped, has a fantastic garden with terrace, where one can perfectly relax and enjoy the nature and olive landscape. Close to Radicofani, the location is a great starting point for excursions into smaller and also bigger famous locations, with amazing atmosphere, people, food and wine. We would defintely recommend for people loving nature and spending time apart from the busy life, and are looking forward to coming back again.

Hidden gem

We met our host and his neighbor who translated with no difficulty at the meeting place. They led us to a beautiful farmhouse tucked away, passing horses and chickens as we went. The view was incredible with lemon trees on the patio and farmland in the distance. The farmhouse is very well cared for!

Fijn huis, mooie en rustige omgeving

Het huis is met veel zorg en aandacht ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. De omgeving is mooi en rustig. Je kunt mooie wandelingen maken, en er zijn allerlei bezienswaardigheden op redelijke afstand. De gastheer is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We kregen geregeld heerlijke vijgen en peren uit zijn eigen tuin. Kortom: we hebben het hier heel fijn gehad.
