“We loved our stay in this cottage. The location is very central and ideal; a 2 minute walk to the Wensleydale Creamery, the convenience store, chip shop and pubs within a stone's throw. We will be back. Thank you.”

“We loved our short stay! Perfect location, had a BBQ on the riverbanks, perfectly situated for a walk. Very comfortable bed and all the amenities.”

“We had a great stay here and really enjoyed the area and the property. My only two things to flag that I would have changed. Were it was only very near our stay that we were informed we would need to bring our own towels. We felt this should have been highlighted before booking. And we were disappointed that there was no milk to start us off as it is quite a rural area and we arrived later in the evening. ”

“We loved staying here! Kitchen had everything, inc. a cafetière, salt & pepper grinders, dedicated drawer of superbly sharp knives(!) & a resident kitchen spider who earnt her keep by catching a mosquito! The bed is huge - could easily fit 3 people! (Duvet cover is a bit noisy/rustles like taffeta when it moves, so light sleepers with partners prone to nocturnal limb flailing might be kept awake by this. The antique wardrobe was ace - I enjoyed the labelled shelves based on sartorial stylings……

“We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together”

“Dale House is a great property with all the facilities you need. Its clean and comfortable and a great venue for family and friends. Fab games room. We had a lovely stay in Feb 25 and made use of the open fire which made it feel very cosy.There are 3 pubs within walking distance (literally a few mins). We ate at the Blue Bell Inn and the food was delicious! (Would advise to book a table)We also did a lovely walk from the property, The Kettlewell circular and at the halfway point we ate at the……

“The property was a good size with all the basics you need. For a couple it's great.You can't deny that the location is amazing. A few minutes walk and you are in proper wilderness with so much wildlife about. We had some lovely walks straight from the property.You are only a short drive to the nearest village so not too isolated.We found it a brilliant base to explore Yorkshire.”
