Welcome to 10B Hickman Street!
OVERVIEW: IMMACULATE AND CHARMING BEACH BLOCK CONDO! Ocean Block/First Floor condo with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and sleeps six people comfortably. Attractively decorated and immaculately maintained condo combines the charm of the old (high ceilings, tall windows, crown molding, and deep surbases) with the efficiency and convenience of the new (completely remodeled kitchen with tile floor and tile bath, porcelain tub with shower). OCEAN VIEWS are available from their sizeable screen porch with a table and four chairs for eating out; the kitchen is fully stocked with glasses, dishes, flatware, pots and pans, an electric coffee maker, and a coffee bean grinder.
Even though we are on the ocean block and on the main level, our condo is quiet in a family-friendly area with tax-free boutiques, restaurants, plenty of bike rental shops, and Fun Land. You can park your car and never use it the whole week unless you want to shop at the many excellent, tax-free Tanger Outlets on Rt. 1, approximately five miles from the condo.
LOCATION: Ocean block on Hickman Street. Only a few homes from the beach!
PARKING: Off-street parking for one car.
AMENITIES: Outdoor shower with hot and cold water, shared washer and dryer, free Wi-Fi, and parking for one car. Additional amenities include four beach chairs, sand toys, a Blue Ray player, a radio sound System with a CD player and streaming capability, games, books, videos, and magazines for those rainy days.
THINGS TO KNOW: The 199.99 processing fee is non-refundable in the event you cancel. One dog is permitted with a pet fee. Linens are not supplied. However, we do offer a rental program for guests. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We booked this before summer and it ended up being a recoup stay for my husband who just had surgery on 8/14 and he was so comfortable and was able to get the test and relaxation he needed. We had or granddaughter and daughter with us & a few other family members, it was a great week!!!

cozy easy beach block stay

great location, nice little upgrades here and there. the digital access was key (pun intended) for our teens. bedrooms could use some nightstands, but everything else was just great.

The property was well stocked. When we arrived, the pump on the front door was broken and I reported this. Today, I got a notice that our our Insurance would cover this. No way! It was broken when we got there. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Great and relaxing getaway in Rehoboth Beach

My husband and I enjoyed spending a week at this wonderful location. We were impressed with the cleanliness of this property and well equipped kitchen. This condo has everything needed for a great stay and we were very glad that we selected it for our vacation in Rehoboth Beach. Extra bonus to this wonderful place is a very short distance from boardwalk. We are planning to come back soon and we will recommend this property to our friends. Thank you.

Cozy & comfy beach-block home!

Perfect size for small family and a little one. Kitchen well equipped for cooking meals. Best part a 3 minute walk to the beach or boardwalk. You can join the hustle bustle of Rehoboth or enjoy the peaceful outskirts of town depending on your mood. No need to move your car!

Perfect location

The apartment was just right for us, a short block to the beach. Walking distance to everything. The bedrooms are small, but the location makes up for it. The kitchen has everything and more for cooking. An added benefit is the screened porch. We loved it!

Nice little place close to the boardwalk

We had a snafu with the cleanliness of the property when we arrived but, the real estate company responded very quickly and sent someone out to clean the place. The owner also called to apologize. These things happen sometimes but, I appreciate how quickly they took care of the issue. Great location in a quiet neighborhood and near the boardwalk and shops. The unit was well equipped. The only suggestion I would make would be to get a better lock on the door going into the screened in porch.

Insurance fraud

Insurance fraud First I want to start off that I feel horrible even writing a bad review on anyone’s behalf… I know we all are just trying to do our best. However, I feel as if I was a part of an insurance scam. I paid for the extra insurance due to Covid this year… And I feel as if the owner took advantage of that insurance coverage by putting in a claim on my behalf. I was told I would not have to pay anything and it would not affect me in anyway, but he/she wanted me to sign a legal document stating that I agreed to the damages at the property. The “damages” listed were are a joke…We were charged for the following: leaving a small bottle of hair soap in the bathroom. Mind you I did so because there was hair soap left in there when we arrived, so I thought I would return the favor. 2.We were also charged for sand on the porch… There was no broom there for me to sweep it, and I did not wanna break the vacuum. 3. We were charged for the tablecloth being slightly blown up on the outdoor table… All you would have to do is simply take the tablecloth and push it down to restore it to the original position. We were charged for the most bizarre “damages” I understand that this is a review and most reading this take reviews with a grain of salt because most reviews are written as an opinion. This is NO Opinion… these are facts. Again I’m going to tell you that the claim that was put forth in our behalf was undoubtably a scam. I do not care if it did not affect me financially (as the owner told me in the first email that I would not have to pay anything… I would just have to sign a document agreeing to the claims)… it’s still appalling that this was being reported. I was receiving numerous emails from The owner demanding I sign the legal document… I left the house cleaner than we arrived. I even washed the floor on my hands and knees. Shame on the owners and the realtor (Lauren) working with the owner.

We had asked somebody if they were TVs in the bedrooms and they said yes. My autistic son was very disappointing to not have a TV so he slept on the couch to be near his video equipment. Other than it being a little outdated, and the TVs not being there, it was a very charming house in a really good location:)

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is fantastic. You can’t do much better. Very short walk to the beach, on a quiet street, but still very close to Rehoboth Avenue. I think the apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures too. We did have a hiccup, one of the bedroom doors would lock when it was closed all the way (with no key to unlock it), and so we had someone get locked in the bedroom 3 times, once in the middle of the night when they had to use the restroom. (Ugh.) After the second time, I called to report the issue to Remax, who manages the property, and was told someone wouldn’t be able to come that day but could the next day. I told them that was fine; unfortunately that night was when we had the middle of the night lock in. Someone did come the next day and fixed the issue, so it shouldn’t be a problem going forward and we plan to try to stay here again next summer.

Wonderful Week!

We loved our stay at 10B Hickman St, Rehoboth Beach DE. The unit was clean and everything pretty new and in working shape. The kitchen was well-stocked and we didn't even have to deal with taking trash/recycling cans in or out! It's beach-block so just a short walk to the beach and Rehoboth Ave main drag plus Funland. Close but not too close! Make sure to read the welcome book on day one - we weren't aware there was a second parking pass until day two. Lots of tips and great nuggets in that book. We're looking forward to renting it again.

Beautiful beach block

We enjoyed a fantastic week here. The house was ideal for our family of four. It is only a few doors down from the beach on a quiet, family friendly block. We ate most of our meals on the screened porch with an ocean view, and there was room for the kids to play there too. Inside the house was comfortable and nicely appointed. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The house still has some historic charm but appliances and bathroom are all updated and modern. The kids also made good use of the bin full of sand toys!

Comfortable and close to beach

This house was wonderful, I am keeping it on my list of preferred Rehobeth properties. Less than a block from the beach And roomy outside shower made it easy with little kids. The beds were comfy, the furniture sturdy, and so much hot water! The AC worked really well and there are ceiling fans in every room that kept us cool in an Incredibly hot and humid week. The screened in porch was wonderful for relaxing and tuning out electronics. We watched an awesome lightning storm on it. Thanks Liz for being an awesome and informative host!
