Breakfast is really nice! Reception staff is very helpful and friendly. We booked a room with double bed, it is clean but too small for 2 ppl, no space to open our luggages! The wire of electic boiler is too short that i need to place it on floor. Nevertheless, overall it is satsifactory~

Perfect location and amenities. Breakfast was awesome! Breakfast for 2 can easily cost $35 to $40 in Reykjavik. We didn't use it, but room had a fridge, stovetop, microwave, and sink with all you'd need to cook a light meal. We splurged and ate out, but eating out with a couple of beers can easily cost $100 to $150. Government liquor store is a short walk. We'd definitely stay here again.

I book two rooms in apartment, and I got two apartments instead for three people. Unbelievable " And you charge me for two apartments which was unacceptable and expensive. The hotel said there was nothing they can do about it. So Expedia what are you going to do about this mistake?

Pros: Facilities - check in area, suites, common area and restaurant were clean and tidy. Our suite felt spacious Complimentary breakfast - while it was a simple spread that remained unchanged (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, sliced vegetables, bread, etc.) it was a big value add for our budget Staff - Interactions with housekeeping staff were always pleasant, and the breakfast staff were especially great (constantly hustling to replenish, tidy and were accommodating to requests) Location - centrally located off of Laugavegur, the main strip full of bars, stores and restaurants. It was equidistant to many downtown Reykjavik attractions (within 15-min walk) Opportunities: This feedback may be subjective, but sharing below ways our experience would've improved as a young couple travelling: Suite lacking storage for longer stays - we stayed here as a couple for a week and found storage and surface space to be minimal for clothing storage (only a hanging rack with 6-7 hangers). We ended up putting our clothes on the backs of chairs and ottomans Microwave - would have loved access to a microwave in suite, or in a communal area! We used the mini fridge to house grocery items to save some money, but it was mostly cold food. Many of the local grocery stores and corner stores sold pre-packaged meals that we would've loved to warm up in the microwave Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fron and recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable and economic experience!

I felt very relaxed at this hotel. It was nice and quiet, central and close to everything. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to help. The rooms were fairly big and had everything we needed. We opted for a studio so we could have some kitchen facilities. This included a hob and microwave, fridge and kettle with some pans and cutlery. It was perfect for our needs. The breakfast featured a big spread and was replenished often. There was luggage room to store luggage until check in free of charge, which was very helpful. We will be returning. Some people complained about there being no English tea on offer at breakfast. However, what I will politely remind people that Iceland is not England. if you do feel you need a specific drink that is alien to a country you are visiting and they may not have, perhaps bring your own from home. It's in poor taste to blame the hotel for not catering for the breakfast norms of other countries.

Nice cheap place in the centre of downtown. Nothing special, but is exactly all you need. No parking, but a parking garage nearby for a fee. Very polite staff, breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again.
