We loved the hotel, the staff were so friendly and our room was great. Our only complaint is that it felt like we were trying to sleep at an Icelandic rave. Very loud! I would recommend upgrading the windows. From the airplanes, party culture etc. we didn’t get much sleep.

Wonderful location. Can see the lake from our window. Spotless. Bed is very comfortable. Staff was friendly and unpretentious. Easy to walk to dining, shopping and several local attractions. Want to go back again. EV charging in front of the hotel. Everything was thoughtfully placed. Iceland is already amazing, but our stay here made it even better!

Its a great property right in the middle of downtown, yet very quiet and opposite a church and hence secluded from the noise. Staff were very friendly. I took the buffet option for my kids and they loved it. The staff at the buffet were fantastic. So was the front desk. Our room was super clean and we had more space than what we needed or expected. It was a 3 room apartment. The hotel doesn't provide parking but there is plenty of parking in front (P1) or around the block (P2). I would consider staying there again.

Great stay at the hotel! Comfortable beds, nice amount of room and kids were a little separated from us. Great kitchenette and nespresso coffee maker! Breakfast was a decent price but we didn’t partake. Maybe next time!

The Kvosin Downtown Hotel is a really nice hotel to stay in during a visit to Reykjavik. All of the staff we dealt with were friendly, polite, courteous and went out of their way to ensure our stay was great. We booked a bigger room with kitchenette (room 305) which was spacious and more than big enough for 2 adults and 1 child, with plenty of room for us and our luggage. The room was clean and was serviced every day. Just a couple of points about the room which didn't spoil our stay but are worth noting :- - There is no toaster or microwave in the kitchenette (I think there is a shared microwave somewhere in the hotel if needed). - In our room there was no table to sit and eat at (we did have a breakfast bar and to be honest other than breakfast we ate all of our meals outside of the room so this wasn't a problem) - There was a strange noise throughout the night which was quite audible throughout the room. I think this was something on the hotel moving in the wind (it was quite windy during our stay) - again this didn't really bother us as we sleep with white noise on, but worth knowing. The hotel itself is in a great location, very close to lots of restaurants and bars, extremely close to bus stop 1, close to the harbour and lots of other tourist hotspots around Reykjavic itself. Despite the minor points above I would fully recommend this hotel.
