We enjoyed our stay her and would stay again. It is in the heart of downtown on a non-drivable section of the downtown. This makes it a little difficult re luggage loading/unloading but the hotel is well worth any minor inconvenience. Being downtown, especially weekends, it can be a little noisy if you retire early. But again, such a great hotel and so accessible to everything in Reykjavik city.

The location of the hotel is very lovely, as it is central to many activities in Reykjavik. The breakfast is lovely. Upon arrival we were surprised to learn that there was no parking at the hotel and felt that this is vital information that should be conveyed to guests before arrival. We received no information about how to park near the hotel prior to arriving. We noted 2 things we wish to share: 1. There was no place in the bathroom to hang towels once they had been used. Clean towels were on a small bar to the side of the toilet, but once used, there was no place to put the towel to dry. This seems counterintuitive to efforts to encourage guests to re-use towels. 2. We noted an odor in our room every day, a smell consistent with off-gassing from sewer pipes. When we brought this to the attention of front desk staff by inquiring if the hotel was having a problem with the drainage system, we were told that this would be looked into. Upon revisiting this with the front desk, we were told "this was investigated and there was nothing wrong". However we noted that in all the hallways on our wing there were diffusers on display to create a flowery smell. Following our inquiry, a diffuser was place outside of our room to further mask the unpleasant odor. At a 4 star hotel, it is disappointing to be told that "nothing is wrong" when a valid question is posed. Initially we were told we could move rooms, but this was not offered following their "investigation".

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay. Being able to pay 50 euro extra to check in at around 7am when I arrived was so convenient and worth it. The location was great, with plenty of great shopping and dining options right outside the front door. I ate breakfast at the hotel daily, which was included in the rate and delicious. I booked the Deluxe Room on the top floor and found it spacious and comfortable. The blackout curtains worked great to block out light. The area in front of the hotel is a walking street only, so noise was minimal and I could not hear cars. The bed was so incredibly comfortable, I slept amazing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, easy walk to everywhere. Reykjavik bus station an easy 20 min walk. Breakfast was excellent and there was even a table with pastries, fruit, tea and coffee on the morning we left (before breakfast started) which we found to be very thoughtful and it was definitely appreciated! Very quick and easy check in and out. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Iceland.

I rarely write hotel reviews, but this is such a gem of a hotel. Perfectly located in the center, very helpful staff, a great restaurant attached with amazing baked goods and lunch options & an excellent breakfast buffet. The room was very comfortable (I had the smallest, least expensive option). Really a great find.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. Clean as a whistle. Beautiful rooms and buildings. Nice copious free continental style breakfast buffet. Wonderful staff. It's in the middle of everything downtown and close to everything ... and also a bus stop as a launch point to tours and to the airport (taxis are expensive so use the bus unless you need it now). Views right into the Main Street. Bathroom was big and beautiful. For a $100 up charge they also let me check in at 8am and eat breakfast. Trust me it was worth it for flying in on the red eye. 5 stars all around.

Definitely will only stay here if ever again in Reykjavík. The room was comfortable and had all possible amenities and more - even cozy slippers and white robe! Breakfast was wonderful, and believe me, may be expensive in Iceland - so nice to have it included in your stay. And what a wonderful location- right in the city center next to a delicious bakery! 10 out of 10!

This hotel was fabulous and we would definitely stay here again. Of particular note was the very convenient walkable location and the absolutely fantastic breakfast offered every morning. Everything was spotless and we very much enjoyed our stay. There was no designated parking but I had no trouble finding street parking.
