“This is a very perfect mansion which is both classic and modern. I’m surprised that even the towels are put on a heating rack. We love the food a lot, both dinner and breakfast. Fresh ingredients and nicely cooked by the host! Host is very nice and introduced us to sheep feeding. Thanks for lending us a HDMI cable as well since our laptop’s monitor is not functioning well and we need to connect it to the TV.”

“The bed sheets has many insects. It seems that there has no change the bed sheets. There has no pillow provided. 1st night - we double checked and made sure the door locked before we go bed to sleep. In the morning, we saw the door was opened. The door had scratch marks， I guess somebody use the tools to open the door. Be careful your bags and money if you stay in there. We really cannot sleep in the 2nd night. The washroom is clean. The location is not different to find. I won’t……

“This is a very rustic property with lots of character. I didn't partake, but was told the included breakfast was very good (apparently the chef is a pastry chef) the room was comfy, and the area was serene. If you stay here you have access to the natural hot pools 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 days and it was nicely convenient to a lot of places. (We went to Hobbiton and Waitomo glow worm caves). Matamata is convenient with other dining options, but the food at……
