The phone in our room never worked even after letting the front desk know about it twice and one of the dim lights in the bathroom flickered often, but the vibe was immaculate. Definitely worth it.

Porto bay was a convenient, modern hotel situated in the centre of coco cabana beach. Views from our room were amazing. Thought the breakfast was good though never been locked in before after the 1030 deadline. The breakfast room was small considering the size of the hotel and 2 lifts are simply not enough for a 20 floor hotel. Apart from this the hotel great, staff at the roof top bar and reception were exceptional.

Humidity in the room was crazy. No heat in the room. No ventilation in the bathroom.The bathroom window curtain was basically see through meaning when showering you are clearly visible from the building across. Room service quality was definitely below par and that is when you could actually get through to them since mostly you would call and nobody would answer or would forget the order. In general it is a not ok hotel for a 4 star rating. It is a two star with a pool, a lobby and really beautiful views due to location.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and it was one of our favorite stays. We really enjoyed the rooftop lounge area, very beautiful view of copacabana and the staff is so nice and attentive. Our room was spacious and clean. We would stay here again!

Me encantó hospedarme aquí , todos son muy amables , especialmente quiero agradecer a Ana clara por haber sido tan cordial con nosotros , tuvo atenciones muy lindas con nosotros que estábamos celebrando el cumple de mi esposo y le agradezco mucho , en definitiva volvería a quedarme . Such an amazing experience at PortoBay, considering it was my first time in Brazil. The staff were amazing and attentive at all times, they made sure that myself and my party were comfortable at every stage of the stay. Great location - literally across from the beach and easily walkable or communicable by taxi (short distance) to wherever you need to get to. Will definitely be coming back to PortoBay the next time I am in Brazil, and might check out some of their other locations too !

I took a star away and really should have taken 2 away, because I was forced to stay in a room where the sink was clearly broke. I complained 5 times about it and nothing was fixed until the 4th day of my stay. The bathroom smelled like sewage because of it! I also mentioned that I didn’t have a do not disturb sign and nobody brought one to my room. That resulted in me being woken up 3 times in one day. I stayed here before in 2023 and it was great. This time left me looking for a different hotel for when I come back to Rio unless this property refunds some of my money back!

The hotel is in a good location right on the beach at Posto 2. You have wonderful views of the entire Copa Cabana. Generally, the staff is very helpful and responsive. The restaurant is nice and the food is good. All well worth it and very competitive. We hit a bit of a snag on checkout. We were told about the transportation options to the airport using the hotel limo and that they are the way way they are and if we don't like them we are free to take a taxi. That was not helpful and borderline rude.
