Horrible experience!
Check-in Experience: was poor, we arrived early and the front desk agent did not check us in, he asked to come back after 3pm. When we came back from a tour around 5pm, the new agent was upset because we did not check in before.
Air Conditioning Issues: The next day, the air conditioning in our room was not working. After calling the front desk, we were informed that the issue was with a central unit serving the entire hotel, and they could not offer us a solution. We were told “we all needed to share the heat” and wait. The next day when I asked for an update, we were simply told to wait again, which was unacceptable. After we noticed the air conditioning seemed to work at night but failed during the day. The nights were extremely cold in our room.
Unprofessional Behavior by Manager: On Sunday morning, my friend and I were returning to the hotel after Carnaval, and the manager, Fernando, screamed at me. I did not understand he was addressing me, and he then proceeded to whistle at us in a manner that was both disrespectful and degrading. This is absolutely not an acceptable way to treat any guest. His behavior was unprofessional and completely inappropriate.
The location was excellent.
