My recent stay at Best Western Rochester Hotel Mayo Clinic Area was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, I was met with rather unfriendly staff who seemed uninterested in providing a welcoming experience. This set the tone for the rest of the visit.
To add to the frustration, there was a lack of bath towels in the room, requiring us to call down for more, which took quite a while to be delivered. Additionally, the hot tub, which we were looking forward to using, was out of order the second day of our stay with no clear timeline for when it would be fixed.
Another issue was the temperature throughout the hotel. Most common areas were hot and humid, making it quite uncomfortable to relax outside of our room. Thankfully, we could at least regulate the temperature in our room, but it was unpleasant everywhere else.
Overall, the lack of hospitality, missing amenities, and uncomfortable environment left much to be desired. I hope the hotel takes these points into consideration to improve the guest experience moving forward.
