“Absolutely beautiful, clean, and so welcoming! This was a perfect retreat from the busy schedule we were keeping in preparation for a wedding. Indeed, a place to return after hectic events to "Relax, Refresh & Recharge" before heading out again. Our hostess was spot-on with her text communications and not overwhelming. “What a great stay! We needed some peace and quiet and Tanglewood absolutely fit the bill for us. The property is beautiful - the horses, chickens, bunny, and cats. We stayed in the Horse Hound suite and it was well appointed, extremely comfortable, clean and cozy. Great place to chill and relax. The farm is also a very short drive to downtown Southern Pines which has a great selection of shops and restaurants. “This was a top notch condo - seemed brand new, beautifully decorated and with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It’s extremely well located - we were able to walk to many of the nearby shops and restaurants and enjoyed a fall festival in the park just a block away. "As someone who travels extensively and stays in all types of hotels, from luxury to budget, I found the complete lack of basic professional courtesy from the front desk staff quite surprising. There were no smiles, and basic polite words like "thank you" or "please" were absent. While my expectations for facilities, cleanliness, and Wi-Fi are aligned with the hotel's price and star rating, this fundamental lapse in service was genuinely disappointing and regrettable. This was, frankly, the first time in my very extensive travel history that I've encountered such a consistently cold reception."
