“This home was as described, spacious, beautiful, great yard and views!!! Plenty of towels, even for hot tub time. Emma was communicative and very helpful. The home had everything we needed. Be aware, however, the opening to the stairs is wide, glad we brought 2 baby gates to tie together to keep our toddlers safe. The train noise didn’t bother any of us, not even the toddlers at nap time. Great place to stay!!”

“My husband and I, both seniors, and our elderly dog very much enjoyed our 5 day stay at faye's place. All on one floor,clean,quiet,comfortable,well outfitted, everything we needed!We also very much enjoyed the fenced yard and gazebo,good for reading and napping. Our grandkids visited and loved all the vintage "toys". Also hosts very responsive when a repair was needed Faye's place is very special!”

“Had a group of 5 for a low-key Bachelorette party. It was exactly what we needed. It was a beautiful spot that was peaceful and quiet. If I were planning a stay with kids, this would be a perfect spot for them to play outside and explore. Our entire group appreciated quiet coffee on the deck watching the wildlife. Great spot! Would recommend.”

“We are 4 women in our eighties who have been friends since grade school. We take an annual 4 day trip each summer. This year we wanted to learn about the Driftless area of southern MN and WI. The mansion in La Crosse was the perfect home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Cargill-Pettibone mansion. Lots of room and nice accommodations. We would definitely recommend it to a larger group. ”

“We had a family reunion with 12 adults and 10 children. We had all the room we needed. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen is large with two refrigerators, all the pots and pans we required. The grill was was wonderful and very nice. The bedrooms are nice with plenty of space. Some beds very firm, others more soft — perfect balance. The yard is wonderful. We played yard games, water balloons and many running races. The fire pit was wonderful with wood and……

“I booked this room because the photos looked decent. Boy was I wrong. I showed up and the lobby was about 40 degrees. Started the check in process and the card door things were broken. So none of the door locks worked, which also means you could just walk into any room, also that means if we left, anyone could walk into our room. It took 20 mins for them to find a room for us. We go in and they had not cleaned the bathroom, pee stains on toilet, no towels, burn holes in all the furniture. I went……
