“This is a spectacular and stunningly comfortable home in a stunning garden in a lush wildlifey forest which epitomises Australia. You'll struggle to find time for the tourist attractions. Just be comfy with log fires, plush furniture and a fern forest garden with pure freshwater creeks with yabbies, wallabies and birdlife you'd seldom see. Claire - the host - will show you round and then chat or vanish as needed but it's her home, she built it, and knows heaps.”

“The lakeside cabin faces the man made lake. It is very secluded, old classic style and very nice. The spa is very good. We met the owners to get the keys for checkin and it was a good chat. Enjoyed the stay”

“We absolutely would recommend "The Lodge" as your base while visting Stanley.The lodge was beautifully decorated with a quirkiness which we loved.The sunroom with its big windows framed our water views.The viewing platform for seeing the penguins at dusk was just a quick 5 minute stroll from "The Lodge" and we were able to walk around most of the quaint town and explore all its eateries and shops.”

“We stayed in the studio cottage. It is with good ambiance and very spacious unit with full stocked kitchen facilities. The sea view is excellent and all made our stay very pleasant. There was a recent ownership transition and check in was through a phone call. We booked another unit originally with welcome gift and that was changed and we only found out after checking in. The new owner called and apologised and promised some compensation but never heard again. There was no instruction on WiFi……

“This was a very lovely house, comfortable, clean and well kept. The location amongst the trees is delightful. Very quiet and relaxing. Our only negative was the shower head - two of us found it quite painful (literally) to stand under. Everything else was wonderful.”
