We would like invite you to enjoy our home as your upcoming vacation destination. Come watch the sunrise, sunset and the waves dance on the beach from multiple decks, the screened porch or on the comfortable couch. An oasis awaits at your private pool and hot tub. The Rodanthe Pier is only a block away.

Island Time's recent renovations include a kitchen remodel with new cabinets and countertop, new flooring on the first level and fresh paint throughout.

The house also offers an outdoor shower, fish-cleaning table, carport with a picnic table and cornhole boards.

On the first level, Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, deck access and a TV. Bedroom #2 has queen bed, a TV, and a DVD player. Bedroom #3 has a queen bed with a twin trundle, TV and a DVD player. A hall bath is close to the laundry. New flooring throughout first level and new carpet on the stairs installed 2022.

Island Time impresses on the top floor living area with beach views, tall ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and a fully remodeled bath with a tiled walk-in shower. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, a nearby dining area, and access to a screened porch. A large, furnished sundeck provides amazing views of the beach. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed and access to a sound-side deck for admiring the beautiful sunsets. The quiet and safe neighborhood roads provide a walkable beach access for everyone and should make Island Time your top vacation pick.

Things to know:
Cleaning Fee of $150 includes bed linens (bed's made) and bath towels.

A private pool will be available for guests to use from April to mid October.

Maximum of two dogs allowed per stay with $150 fee per dog per week.

This property is managed by Steve and Debra Franklin.

Parking: Please park in the driveway, maximum 4 vehicles. Parking on the lawn is not allowed as this may cause damage to the home's septic system.
Guest Entry Instructions: This rental utilizes an E-lock, a digital lock that requires an unique code to enter. This code is provided prior to your stay and is reset after each guest's vacation.

You must be 26 years or older to rent this property.

Beach week bliss

We had a wonderful week staying at “Island Time”. The house was perfect for our family (3 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs) and the proximity to the beach was unbelievable. The views from every deck were breathtaking, my kids loved the pool, little details in the house were a pleasure to witness and communicating with Steve was effortless. Thanks for a great week. We will definitely be back!

Loved staying at Island Time!!!

We had a great time. This is the first time we have ever booked a house and it far exceeded our expectations! It was our grandkids first trip to the ocean and they loved it. We loved the pool and hot tub. We spent more time in them than I thought we would. Everything was very clean and well organized. The washer and dryer was a very good feature as we did laundry while we were at the pool and had less to wash when we got home. The kitchen was well equipped, we had pasta night and we even made cookies with kids one night! We all loved it and didn't want to leave!!! We will definitely be back!!!Thank You!!!

Perfect Beach House

Island Times is the perfect vacation home for our family of 5 + 1 Golden Retriever. We have visited many of the east coast beaches, but this is the only home we've visited in back to back years. It's not overly fancy, but it is exactly what a beach house should be; clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfectly sistuated. I spent the whole winter looking for homes that have better amenities and I have to say Island Times may be the best value out there. You can't find too many 4 bedroom homes in this price range that are this close the beach, with a pool, hot tub, etc. (Don't get me wrong, prices have gotten outrageous, but so have prices for everything else.) While it's not beach front, it is a very short walk to the beach and the pier where my son fished all week long. It may even be a shorter walk to the beach than some beach front homes we've stayed in. Bedrooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could ask for to cook at home. The pool is large and there are decks at every level to either take in or get out of the sun. Perfect for Us! Little Nit Picks As anyone who's been to the Outerbanks understands it is always windy. Because of this, and the fact that 5 people are using it daily, the pool gets pretty dirty by the end of the week. The owner does have a net that we used daily, but it would be great to have a mid week cleaning or some other way for renters to keep the pool clean.

To start, this house for July 4 week was $6000+ which was comparable to other similar properties that are within sight of the beach and have a pool.The BR are a nice size and beds are comfortable. The outdoor decks and pool are great. That’s all the good stuff. A day into the trip we saw our first cockroach. Then more crawling around the dishwasher. Bugs happen at the beach and we know that. Steve was on it right away and got someone out to spray the next day. It diminished the problem but didn’t eliminate it. We kept the trash on the screened in porch and didn’t leave food out. The biggest negative to this house though is the location. While it is close to the beach, this particular section of beach is being retaken by the ocean. Google “Rodanthe falling into the ocean” and you will see a local news story about a house at the end of this street falling into the ocean. Several of the houses at the end of the street are condemned and look like an eyesore compared to what you want when you are paying almost $1000/night. Worse than that is the flooding. In the Thursday night high tide the water came up the street and filled in shin high under the deck. We came back from viewing fireworks and had to wade through it. There was no storm, just high tide. Steve hasn’t offered to refund any of our money and none of this is disclosed so renters beware. I suspect you can find a similar house that isn’t on this particular street.

Great house, great memories made!

We had a great time at this house. This was our 2nd year there and it didnt disappoint. It has plenty of space for the family. We made great use of all of the decks with great views. On one side of the house you can see the sunrise and the other the sunset. It has a great pool that felt great on those hot days. The beach is just a short walk away and was wonderful. We enjoyed going to the pier each night for live music. The kitchen has all you need to cook at home. Steve was very responsive and kind when there was a minor maintenance issue that popped up. All in all I would highly recommend this house and hope to come back again!

Awesome Views, Great House, Great Host

Even though this location is technically not on the ocean; it sure feels like it. We loved sitting on the deck watching and hearing the waves crash on shore. The kids were in the pool twice a day. Beds were comfortable; kitchen is recently updated and has newer appliances and well stocked with silverware and plates for our family. Steve was very good with communicating and answering questions. Overall; we were very happy with our first visit to OBX and will return again.

Great location in Rodanthe with easy access to beach.

My family enjoyed our vacation at Island Time in Rodanthe. The house was the perfect size and location for our family of 4, and our dog. We enjoyed the ocean views from multiple decks on the home, and the easy access to the beach. The private pool was a nice and relaxing reprieve after the hot and sunny days at the beach. The Owner, Steve, was very responsive and quickly addressed a minor issue we were having getting the AC to kick on. It was easily resolved and we had no more issues throughout our trip. I would definitely recommend Island Time to other families who are planning a vacation to the Outer Banks.

Can't wait to return!

Island Time was the perfect spot for our OBX beach vacation. The house was just the right size for our group ( 6 adults, 1 infant, 1 dog).. more would have been tight. The pool was comfortable break from the beach.... and the beach was so close!!! We could easily come back for naps and to check on the dog.The hottub took us a bit to get the right temp , but once we did it was delightful.. especially on a rainy afternoon. A couple restaurants and coffee shops were an easy walking distance.. we cooked several dinners and breakfast each day and the kitchen had more than everything we needed. For grilling it is a simple charcoal grill, but it worked well for burgers and chicken. We stayed right in the middle of the summer, so there was a bit of sand accumulated in the house, but super clean for a pet /beach rental and I cant wait to get back to Island Time!

I would 💯 stay here again. The house is like being at home . The beds are super comfortable. We were able to bring our little dogs and had our very own pool , which was so nice and a hop skip and a jump from the ocean . Also the local coffee shops and restaurants are very close .

Excellent family vacation spot

We were so pleased with our stay at Island Time! The house was located close to the beach (like a block away: 2-3 min walk) and had everything you needed basically. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics and then some, that you would need to cook. The decor was beachy and inviting. The pool was amazing! We didnt use the hot tub, but it looked great and inviting. We had 7 people and 2 dogs in the house and it never felt crowded. The outdoor deck space was the best...beautiful views of the ocean and sunrise and sunsets. I think the decks were the dogs favorite spaces too, with gates on them so they could roam freely. The area was family friendly and not over crowded. Overall, we would highly recommend this house and hope to come back and stay again soon!

Relaxation Island

Island Time was just what we were looking for. Gorgeous views, perfect distance to the beach, wide porches, gates with latches, screened in porch, hot tub, pool, outside shower, hose to wash off after a day at the beach and dog friendly and clean. We enjoyed EVERY SPACE of that house! There wasn't 1 thing we needed that wasn't there. We had some questions for Steve, I sent him texts and he responded promptly. Very friendly, efficient and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying at Island Time. Thanks Steve

Nice house…sofa was in need of a good cleaning but not unexpected in a property that allows pets. Beautiful and well-stocked kitchen. Great pool and hot tub (although maneuvering the hot tub cover on and off in the small enclosed porch is very difficult)! Easy beach access and better views than we expected. Homeowner quick to respond and very pleasant!

Wonderful Time!

Spent a week here with family (5 adults, 1 young child). The house was perfect and there were so many things that just made sense and worked out so well. First, the location, booking, check-in and check-out were very easy. We didn't have to communicate extensively with the owners, but that's because the information they provided was very thorough. The house was clean and set up very well. One of my pet peeves is renting a house with a group of people to discover that the common areas are not equipped with enough seating. Not a problem here - the living room, dining area, porches and pool area all had more than enough space for our group to spend time together. This might have been the most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental - we cooked most of our meals at the house and had no problem finding everything we needed. The proximity to the beach was great and moving back and forth between the house, beach, and pool was easy. We all had a great time playing and relaxing in the pool and the floats that were available were a great bonus. All the porches and sitting areas with views of the ocean and sound side were great. (Another bonus were the gates at the stop of the stairs throughout the porch area - allowed my sister's dog to enjoy the porches freely along with the rest of us!) We could not have been happier with the house, location, amenities - just everything throughout our stay. Thank you so much for opening your home!

Awesome house

Can't say enough nice things about this house. It checked all the boxes for us. So close to beach, house was immaculate, super dog friendly with gates on the stairs, fully stocked kitchen, nice size pool, hot tub, passes to pier. I could go on the on. You won't regret staying here. I think we may have finally found our perfect rental for our small family in Rodanthe. Only took 10 years.

Great week at a Great house.

What a great house and a great location, 90 second walk to a wonderful beach. House had everything we could have wanted with 4 spacious bedrooms. Pool area was awesome! Private and sunny!! We had one minor issue that I only mention because the property owner responded IMMEDIATELY and had it resolved for us with-in an hour. We could not have been happier with our choice and are starting to plan our return trip! Thank you, Steve and Debra.

Wonderful family vacation home

We had a wonderful family vacation renting this home. It is close to the beach. The house has everything you'll ever need to make your Rodanthe visit the best ever. The owners are lovely and very easy to contact. They are on top of everything do everything to make your visit the best. The area is very laid back and close to great restaurants.

Great Family House & Close to the beach!!

Our family of 5 and in-laws have been visiting the Outer Banks (North-Duck & Corolla) for years and we have always loved it but haven't loved the crowds in the recent years. We decided to go south this year and boy were we in heaven. It's so much calmer than the north side with all the necessary things that you still need. The traffic was almost none existent for check in and out days and the beach was not packed at all especially for July 4th week!! Rodanthe has plenty of restaurants, markets, beach shops. You do need to plan your dinners (alot of places are still having staffing issues and had trouble seating large parties without a long wait), the dollar general and waves deli market have all the needed items and food lion was about 25 min away, all doable and super friendly staff. The house was absolutely perfect for our family. We have three kids (12, 10 & 6) and our in-laws joined, we also had our two dogs, everyone had plenty of room. The house is clean and updated simply and beautifully. All the decks had amazing views of the water and island. The dogs loved to just hang outside. There were gates on all the stairs so that was an added bonus to not have to worry about them. The walk to the beach took 2 minutes and was so convenient to walk back and forth for lunches and snacks throughout the day. The pool was a really nice size (some times beach rental pools are tiny, this was def not). Plenty of surrounding space for everyone to lay out and play. The landlords were amazing and easy to get ahold of. We were able to ask questions prior to the trip and during. They were quick to respond and make sure that we were super happy! We rented jet skis at a local Rodante site that was wonderful and did a half day fishing charter in Hatteras, also amazing. There really was plenty to do without all the craziness of the north towns. We have stayed at many OBX rentals of all sizes and price ranges and this by far was our top stay! We would recommend this rental to friends and family and will be keeping it in mind for future summers! Happy Travels!

It's challenging to find a house that allows dogs, with a private pool, close to the ocean. While a little cramped, the house ticked all the boxes for an affordable price. The walk to the beach is actually comparable to many beachfront homes with long private access. We had a few minor issues during our stay but the property manager was attentive, polite, and helpful with any questions.
