“For our return stay in Historic Edenton we chose this charming bungalow. It is conveniently located in the downtown area-walking distance to several restaurants, shops, and historical sites. The home was very clean, nicely decorated, cozy, and had all we needed for a few day stay. Bikes were available for our use. The best part of the stay was enjoying the beverage of the hour on the front porch, morning & evening; people watching and feeling the cool breeze from the River. The owner was……

“The size and location was perfect for our family. We needed a large place for family to stay for my son‘s wedding. The master bedroom on the main floor was perfect for my mother-in-law who cannot do stairs. I would highly recommend the space for family gatherings.”

Pros: clean, easy check in, easy communication with manager, fire pit, porch, location Cons: bed in 2nd bedroom uncomfortable as it has gaps where it folds, advertized hot tub but when we contacted to ask if it was clean and usable, we were told it had not been opened. “The location of this property was ideal for easy access to the town & all it has to offer. Also, this neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful. No noisy traffic or neighbors. The house suited our needs in every way. The only negative was the squeaky bed in the king bedroom. The host was most gracious & attentive to all my requests. We’ve stayed here before & probably would again if he could fix that bed. ”

“Theona is an absolute amazing host. When you arrive there are cute litte snacks on the table with a note. The cottage smelled clean. And not a bleach clean or im trying to hide a bad smell clean. Very pleasant. We had purchased groceries on the way down so to the kitchen we went. There you will find a keurig duo. Feel free to bring grounds or pods for your morning cup of coffee. If you forget there are pods there. If you aren't a coffee drinker she also has just about every tea you can think of……

“The views of the Albemarle Sound were even better than I believed possible! The view through the glass doors from the living room (and over the back deck) was truly breathtaking. We loved sitting on the wonderful sofa looking out on the water, watching tv, napping, and generally relaxing. “Other wise it was great”

“The outside and inside the property was great. Very welcoming. Many antique and period pieces in the home giving it a warm feel. I did find some grocery in the refridgerator unopened and the pillow cases didn't appear to be freshly laundered. There are plenty of kitchen amenities for cooking and entertaining larger groups.”

“Purpose of our overnight was for rest & refreshment. We wanted something quiet and away from people, this place was exactly that. Very clean and organized. Very little dish & hand soap, but everything else was well thought out and provided for. Appreciated the Keurig cups, we enjoyed several cups of coffee. The sunrise view was amazing. ”
