Welcome to Hemlock Hill!
This is a HUGE unique property only minutes away from Chattanooga. The main house boasts charming character and design and was just completely renovated in Jan. 2025 with all updated finishes. Attached are 2 separate apartment units with their own access to enter. That means 3 living rooms and 3 fully stocked kitchens with all plate-ware, cookware, etc! This property is perfectly set up for family reunions, church retreats, or large sports teams to travel!
Home Layout:
The main home is a 100+ year old home that sits on the right if you are facing the house and it has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. 3 of the bedrooms are on the left side of the home and there is 1 bedroom closer to the kitchen. There is a living area in the middle of the home and a large dining room/sunroom over by the kitchen. The couch turns into a queen size sofa bed. The master bedroom has a king bed, the room next to it has a queen bed, then down the hall the bedroom has a bunk bed (full on bottom twin on top) and lastly, the bedroom closer to the living room/kitchen has a queen bed.
Attached to the main home is the upstairs and downstairs newly renovated addition. The upstairs unit has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Both bedrooms have a queen size beds. The kitchen and living room is an open space concept with lots of seating in the dining area and a large L shaped couch in the living room. The couch turns into a queen size sofa bed.
The downstairs basement unit has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Both bedrooms have queen size beds. The couch turns into a queen size sofa bed.
Each unit has a kitchen fully stocked with plate-ware, glassware and cookware. We provide a medium roast and a dark roast coffee with a Keurig coffee maker in each kitchen. There are no wine glasses and no grill on the property so please plan accordingly.
Weather and Outages:
As advertised, there will be no refunds in the unlikely circumstance that there is a power outage during your stay or if the weather is not cooperating. We do not have any control over the weather or outages caused by nature! We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance to be preventative in case something happens and you need to cancel.
Important Things To Know:
1. DRIVEWAY: This property sits up on top of a hill! There is a fairly steep asphalt driveway that leads to the top! Any normal passenger vehicle should be able to make it to the home with no problems but 4x4 or all-wheel drive is recommended during icy conditions in the winter time.3. All of the fireplaces are decorative ONLY and do not work.
2. Ice machine: The ice machine in the main house sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. You may want to pick up some ice for the freezer just in case! Dollar General is right down the road. We have placed ice trays in the freezer for the meantime but the cost to replace the ice machine is not an option at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes!
3. As advertised above, there is not a way to enter each unit from the INSIDE - They are 3 separate units on one house and each have their own front door!
4.. The Barndominium on the other side of the property is also an Airbnb - Please reach out if you would like inquire about that as well.
5. 2 Dogs MAX allowed
6. All 3 fireplaces in this home do not work. They are for decorative purposes only.
7. LADY BUGS - The main house on the property is a OLDER home with lots of charm and character which is the perfect opportunity for lady bugs to inhabit the home. Most, if not all, homes in our area have lady bugs. To stay ahead of this we are on preventative monthly pest control maintenance for all of our properties. Unfortunately they are still VERY hard to get rid of and you will see them in the sunroom and dining room area of this home.
8. KITCHEN IN THE MAIN HOUSE(Willow): The hinges on the oven door need replacing. They are on back order. There is a device we have in the home to help keep the oven door shut while cooking. If you book, there will be further instructions in the check in instructions.
