Lake of Tranquility is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom character filled holiday home, which comfortably sleeps up to 8 adults. The interior has been tastefully decorated with style and flair in mind and is equipped with quality furnishings and fixtures. The property sits proudly overlooking lake Rotorua in the peaceful suburb of Ngongotaha and is set on a full site with a large backyard and garden.
The house itself is split over two levels. On the upper level you'll find the open plan kitchen, dining and living rooms, which open out on to a balcony offering front row seats to spectacular lake vistas. There are 3 double bedrooms upstairs alongside a small bathroom and separate toilet. This upper level has double glazing as well as a heat pump and Smart Vent ventilation - keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
Downstairs you'll find a rumpus room (with ping pong table), a garage and laundry, and a lovely self contained studio with ensuite, overlooking the beautiful big back garden. The rear yard is fully fenced and flat, offering a safe place for children to explore and play.
Note: there is no internal access to the downstairs areas, including the studio bedroom (they are accessed via an external staircase).

The house is directly across the road from lake Rotorua and a stones throw to the mouth of the Waiteti Stream, world famous for its trout fishing. A kayak and paddleboard are provided which you are welcome to use to explore the lake.
There's a lakeside trail which leads from the Waiteti stream bridge into the Ngongotaha village, where you'll find a range of shops including a supermarket and cafe. A safe cycleway leads from Ngongotaha all the way into the city too.
Rotorua city is an easy 10 minute drive, Tauranga CBD and Mount Maunganui beach are less than an hour away.
Guests will have exclusive access of the entire property.
Paradise Point is located in Ngongotaha Village, just 10 minutes from the heart of Rotorua City. There are a range of convenience stores in the village, including a Four Square supermarket, several takeaway stores, a bottle shop, chemist and cafe. It is a pleasant and peaceful neighbourhood.
There is a pedestrian bridge over Waiteti Stream at the end of Arnold Street. This is the start of the Ngongotaha Lakefront Reserve, and also a cycleway that goes into Ngongotaha village (about 1.5km) or all the way into Rotorua (about 8km). You can also walk along the south bank of Waiteti Stream in search of Trout.
Dynasti Cafe in Ngongotaha is a great spot for brunch/lunch/coffee.
Walk along the lakeside trail into Ngongotaha village.
Bike the safe cycleway right into Rotorua city (8km).
Drive into the city and to an array of local attractions (10-15 minutes).
Bus into the city (there's a nearby bus stop on Ranginui Street)
Taxi and Uber services are also available in Rotorua.
