We where greeted my a Gentleman William dressed in a Ship Uniform, he gave us some good advice, like free shuttles, water taxi and water bus, very informative.

This property provides a unique experience. It is like taking a step back in time because it was a working cruise ship once upon a time. The rooms are spacious, not like current cruise cabins. The beds are soft, not firm. The amenities in the room and bathroom are similar to what you’d find at any decent hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment you approach the property. We were greeted outside by the bell captain who helped us with our luggage and brought us aboard to the guest services area. People at the front desk are very helpful. Food in the restaurant was ok. Beef brisket should have been more tender, but meals that others had were fine. The location is close to the cruise port, which was great because we were sailing on Holland America and this hotel provides free shuttle service to the cruise terminal. This service was excellent! They took our bags right to the ship so embarkation was easy. I would definitely recommend this property. They also offer discounted tours of the ship for hotel guests. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take advantage of this.

De ss Rotterdam is een schitterend mooie boot met ontzettend aardig personeel. Een heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt en een gezellige bar . We kwamen heerlijk tot rust !

Ruime, schone kamer. Air conditioning werkte niet erg goed, dus kamer was wat benauwd. Verder uitstekend!

There was great wow factor arriving, and the novelty factor of staying on a boat was fun for the kids. As a hotel it was underwhelming. The bus connection is regular but the bus stops are in fairly ‘sketchy’ spots, I wouldn’t have felt safe as a lone woman. The shuttle is great but stops at 6pm, it would be better running later into the evening once dark rather than during the day. The rooms are kitsch with the period styling and they were immaculately clean. The corridor carpets were dirty and the smell of old smoking rooms permeated everywhere unfortunately. Reception staff were friendly but either unknowledgable or reluctant to help. We arrived at 9pm after a long journey to be told the kitchen was closed and there was no food available on board. The receptionist couldn’t recommend anywhere to go out to eat. They did say we could order a delivery but couldn’t recommend anywhere for that which was unhelpful. It was disappointing that we weren’t able to visit the upper deck, this was open to visitors doing the door but not for paying guests. We joked that we felt like we were in steerage! The breakfast was great. There was no reduced price for children which made that expensive, but it was great quality and they had a huge selection of options. All in all it was a fun choice of hotel for a couple of nights.

This stay was so much like being on a regular cruise ship. Our 13 year old granddaughter was impressed with it. The meal at the restaurant was wonderful

Property was OK but don't think they should have put us in a room with 2 towels sopping up the water running from the air conditioning unit for entire 2 nights. Not the best for sanitation for mold. It was an upgraded room but still not the best.

Auch wenn es sich um ein historisches Schiff handelt, könnten die Zimmer deutlich besser angepasst sein. Die Klimaanlage ließ sich nicht ausschalten, im Bad lief der Lüfter die ganze Nacht durch und der Teppichboden war durch Kondenswasser der Klimaanlage völlig durchnässt. Am schlimmsten waren jedoch die Betten – erholsamer Schlaf war unmöglich. Als Krönung durften Hotelgäste nur bestimmte Bereiche nutzen; wer das gesamte Schiff besichtigen wollte, musste zusätzlich ein Ticket kaufen. Die Parkgebühren von 20 € pro Tag sind ebenfalls überzogen. Kurz gesagt: Dieses Hotelschiff kann ich leider niemandem empfehlen.

Good spacious rooms. The staff on check in and check out were very helpful and friendly. The area around the boat was nice and clean and enjoyable to walk around the decks. The room was quite warm and could’ve done with some air con / a fan or opening window.

Interesting for a short stay. Don’t expect the full cruise ship feel. The vibe is not the same. The ship is an interesting novelty place to stay for a night. Location does not provide for off ship walks or dining, but the onboard dining room is good. Portion sizes for meals such as the half ribs are ridiculously large.
