"Interesting old hotel in a great location. Interior is a little tired, especially in the rooms, but nice bar and helpful reception staff. We asked to move from the first room we were allocated due to the smell. Staff arranged transfer with minimal fuss and second room great."

"Great quiet spot for the rugby weekend, train station close by although the lack of a footpath makes it a longer walk. Staff were nice and the place is clean and tidy, couldn’t ask for more."

"I would have given higher marks had the communal areas (entrance) been hoovered a little more. Despite some of the negative reviews I stayed in Rm 24 and had absolutely no complaints about it. Staff were really helpful"

A lovely spot run by lovely people
"A very nice place to relax and just be. Run by very nice people who were always helpful and friendly. Great pizzas on offer were a real bonus, as we're firepits and wood being available. Will most likely be back in future."

"When we arrived a notice said we could order logs for the hot tub but on contacting the person he was away until the following week so a bit disappointing Also it stated shampoo body wash etc would be available but we had nothing The overall experience was brilliant just a couple of little tweaks ..."

Fabulous cottage and view’s amazing.
"We had a wonderful time at Bank Cottage. Well equipped and lovely and clean. The garden was excellent for our dog. The decking area was fab. Only thing to consider lots of steps so not good for people with mobility issues. We will definitely be back. Wine was a nice welcome x"
