“I can not say enough good things about the farmhouse itself, its location and the owners (who stay in the separated side of the home). The farmhouse is absolutely gorgeous, and for the past 25+ years, so many loving details, restoration and updates have gone into creating such a lovely place to stay. What you wake up to, and end the evening with, are the most beautiful views of the Irish Sea and the southern coastline of the Isle of Man, and directly in front, a lush pasture with birds, rabbits……

“We enjoyed our stay! Good location on the beach in walking distance of restaurants and relatively easy to park on the street. Friendly staff, and great food at the restaurant. Breakfast was solid too with the option of kippers to go with a full-English-type spread. Would recommend! ”

“Lovely older hotel - lotsa stairs to some of the rooms but not an issue for us. Very nice rooms, comfortable bed, great hotel staff. Great breakfast, great location close to shopping, train and bus, and ferry terminal. Great breakfast and nice restaurant overall.”

“The Sefton is a grand building toward the town centre end of the promenade and about 10 minutes walk from the Sea Terminal and buses to and from the airport stop close by, so very convenient. Check in was smooth. I booked an atrium room which was quiet, modern but not bland. Good bathroom, living area with a balcony. The room was clean and in good order, regular top ups in the tea/ coffee dept; along with complimentary bottled water. The bed was rather firm I thought but I slept well. Breakfast……

“Fantastic location, the place itself was incredible. The kitchen/living room was huge, very spacious, big windows so lots of light and very well equipped. Private and out of the way. Bedrooms and bathrooms were an excellent size, well equipped, and very clean. Beds very very comfortable. The area was very quiet, convenient (bus stop nearby, trains within walking distance, shop within walking distance although a hill to get there but that didn't bother us at all). The apartment we stayed in was……

“It's a very clean hotel, the ownership is very friendly and helpful. It is not a modern cookie cutter hotel or building. It is the Victorian era. It is not fancy in modern terms. The stairs are steep and narrow, they way they were done at the time it was built. I would like more lighting on them. Breakfasts were good and satisfying. I had plenty of hot water. ”
