Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with a locked door and no one at the front desk. I had to ring a doorbell to get any attention and was left standing outside in the cold wind and rain while the attendant treated us like we were an inconvenience. After what felt like an eternity, we finally received our room key, but by then, I was completely soaked.
When we entered the room, it reeked of cigarette smoke, despite us paying extra for a non-smoking room. Upon closer inspection, we found cigarette ash on the countertops and even cigarette holes in the sheets. It was absolutely disgusting. To make matters worse, the door to the room didn’t lock — the back of it was hanging off the floor with the batteries removed. The only way to keep the door closed was by bracing it with the couch and a table.
I called the front desk multiple times for help, but no one ever answered. We were left stuck in a room with a broken door and no support. I have plenty of pictures to back up my complaints, but honestly, the experience speaks for itself. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I certainly won’t be staying here again.
