My goal is not to put people out of business. I just hope that American Inn is haled accountable for the conditions that they expect people to pay for. I caution against going to that place unless they are able to rip it down and start over.

There is one bad review on this place and I wish I listened to it. This place is run down, old, and loud. At check in the girl at the front was very friendly but then a gentlemen came up to the window requiring us to pay $20 cash only for a room deposit after the room was paid for already on Expedia, we found this very weird and sketchy. My room was dirty, blankets and pillows had stains, side tables were missing doors, hair on the counter… and to top it off the bed was incredibly squeaky and loud. I wish I was joking about this and I thought the last review was joking but it’s legit no joke and wakes you up when you move in your sleep. This place was inexpensive so there was one positive at least.

I reserved a two bed room and then they tried to put me in a one bed room. Then they tried to move to a room that reaked of cigarette smoke. I told them I would stay somewhere else since they didn't have what I reserved. The owner said he would refund me, but he didn't. I called him the next day and he again said he would refund me, he didn't. This happened multiple times, and I had to spend hours on the phone with Expedia getting a refund. I do not recommend this establishment.

I had a bad experience. The room had no light. The plumbing wasn’t working. It smelled dirty. The sheets and pillows were dirty. They were homeless people outside harassing us. My wife and I felt unsafe and we left and we did not want to stay there and they’re refusing to give us a refund. You guys need to do something about this.

It was a peaceful stay beside the traffic it was very quiet the only problem i had was some guy knocking on my door claiming his card would not open his door .i told him i could not help him and told him he had to go to the office. The staff was very friendly and was quick to get me registered.the bed was a little squeaky but i was still able to sleep well

I stayed here the other night and before I even had time to unpack, I was chased into my room and threatened by a crazy person staying at the hotel, the owners wouldn’t refund and even sent the police away I wouldn’t stay here if you want a safe place to stay.

Frustrating

I kept trying to cancel, but the hotel said to call hotels.com and vice versa. I couldn't cancel and got charged for a stay I didn't need.

It was OK Attendant not so friendly Asked for a cash deopsit. Did not want to charge credit card. Had to wait for him to inspect the room in order for me to have credit returned.

Water and Safety

I don't like drinking water from the bathroom sink. There was only one sink in the room. The bottled water at the front desk was too expensive. And the water tasted like it was tap water.
