My husband and I stayed here over the weekend. We really like the area. There were a lot of food options to choose from if you didn’t feel like driving far. The area was also nice and quiet. The staffs were very friendly and always greeted us when they saw us. We probably won’t be staying here again though. The room we got was on the 3rd floor. One of the first rooms that was recently renovated we were told. The room we got, the layout was just weird and a little dysfunctional.
There was a couple things that we didn’t like. First, If someone was at the sink/vanity area and someone was trying to use the toilet or shower, every time they opened the door, it would hit you. Second, the shower sliding door had a weak grip or didn’t lock at all so when you tried to shut the door to shower the glass panel would just slide back and half the shower would be open. Third, there was only 1 trash can for the entire place which was in the bathroom. There wasn’t one at the kitchen area so we had to use one of our bags as a trash bag. Fourth, the tv wasn’t on a mount and was just facing the desk. So if you wanted to relax on the bed to watch tv that wasn’t going to happen. Parking was also limited. We usually get back to the hotel around 6-7 in the evenings and we can barely find any parking.
We always book Homewood suites no matter where we go. This was the first time that I wasn’t happy with my stay. For a brand new, just renovated room, I was extremely disappointed.
