The owners then built additional guest houses, a cafe, the breakfast room on the property. There is a tranquil well manicured garden to hang out on nice days, a few cats, and a dog. “My favorite hotel experience of our entire Peru trip. I highly recommend Melissa Wasi! The locale was amazing. The view of the mountains, the flowers around the hotel, the friendly dogs on premises, everything was magical. I did not want to leave! It was a chilly night when we were there, but firewood was right outside our door and the fire kept us warm and cozy. The owners were amazing people and helped us in any way we asked. “We stayed at Villa Kampuwasi in Urubamba for 8 days and we absolutely loved it. The house and the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. It is tastefully decorated and everything is very comfortable. The staff was exceptional. I highly recommend staying in Urubamba instead of Cusco if you want to explore Sacred Valley. We used it as a base to do a two day trip to Machu Picchu and day trips around the valley. I was happy we did not rent a car and relied on local professional……

“Great getaway in Urubamba, Peru. Great place if you want to explore Moray, Maras, Chinchero ruins or plan a trip to Ollantaytambo. Be advised that it's about 2 hours from Cusco. Great staff, decor, amenities and hospitality. Gianalberto and Yordan in the restaurant area take special care of any requests that you might have. The spa is quite unique as well.”
