“This was a great place to stay. We were tucked up at the top of a building in the heart of Armentieres. The fact that we were in the centre meant that popping out to a bakery to get fresh bread and pasteries for breakfast (always one of our favourite things to do in France) was easy to do - and there are some great bakeries in Armentieres! In the end we didn't use the station but this would definitely have been an option and means that you have access to Lille but from a relatively quiet and……

Nächster Ort Pernes. ca. 10 Autominuten, etwa 1500 Einwohner, aber 2 tolle Bäcker, 2 Schlacher, kleiner Gemüseladen mit toller Käseauswahl, Bank..............Wem das nicht reicht, fährt noch etwa 10 Minuten mehr nach ST. Pol oder Auchel. Das Haus ist sehr groß. Kleine Kritken, meckern auf hohen Niveau, die Windmühlen in der Gegend, passen nicht so sehr in die schöne Landschaft und sind auch immer ein wenig zu hören.
