Absolutely the best location and value on Pine Island! Beautifully designed, spacious and private two bedroom home with private dock. This home features a large open living room with vaulted ceilings, picture windows and beautiful new floors. Wonderful master suite with freshly renovated master bathroom. Relax and play outside in the private backyard or find the soothing carefree warmth you seek while relaxing in the sun-room. The perfect island getaway for spending time with family and friends!

The space

A great place for family and friends. Recently remodeled throughout, the property includes a full kitchen with brand new appliances, including stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with beautiful new crisp linens, pillows and bed coverings. Spacious living room has extra sleeping space with a brand new sofa. Smart HDTV with free WiFi connection, private backyard and dock.

* The property is a duplex and there are tenants residing at the downstairs unit.

Guest access

Guests have full access and complete privacy inside the home and may enjoy full use of outdoor amenities as well. Upon arrival, please enter through the front door of the main house. Directions for key retrieval, parking, and directions to the home are provided in the house manual on Homeaway. When checking out, please be sure all windows and doors are locked prior to your departure.

If your going to advertise at these rates then certain things are a must. We came home from the beach and it was 81 degrees in the house because air conditioner quit working. They did get it going while a mantainence man on a ladder was in the living room at 9:30 pm. Just what you want! The beds were worse then a cheap rate hotel which was very disappointing. You want to climb into a bed on vacation and say this feels great. Not this sucks..sorry but for what I paid I was very disappointed and would never go back for these reasons. The showers were clean as was the home on a positive note. And check in was easy.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved the neighborhood and the area. Pros: Neighborhood and neighbors Direct access to water Stocked well Helpful tenant below Bathrooms nice Kitchen works Great view Lots of birds including eagles Plenty of setting AC in main living area works well Cons: Beds are awful!!!!! AC in bedrooms is poor (no ceiling fans either). TVs don't work in bedroom and no cable with limited channels. Wifi slow Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again! Thank you

Clean and comfortable experience
We had a very nice stay in this home. We did not realize how far from Ft.Myers we were (just 1 hour), but that did not present a problem at all. We did notice that there was an extreme lack of diversity in the area. Again, this did not present a problem for us. There is a very courteous and friendly tenant on the lower level of the house. He helped us when we had a problem with the lock and just very friendly.

Waterfront View with Boat Access
The location of the property is perfect. We were able to drop our boat in at a marina a short trip away and tie it up to the dock. We really enjoyed taking our boat up and down the canals and out to the Gulf, where we island hopped to Captiva, Picnic Island, etc. The hosts were very responsive and informative. The reason for the 3 stars out of 5 is simply that the appliances in the house are very outdated and need updating. The AC does not work well and it was really warm at night. There are no fans in the bedrooms so we couldn't get any air movement. Also, when we used the oven in the kitchen, the top coil doesn't work so we had hard a time baking chicken evenly. There is a wine fridge, but that didn't turn on. The neighbors are lovely and there are bald eagles that fly in and eat food the neighbors put out and that was just spectacular. You can watch the sunset from the windows and that was also gorgeous. The issue is you can't leave the curtains open for long because the AC doesn't really blow cold. We would still recommend the property as we did enjoy our stay, but maybe just consider updating the AC and some appliances.

Better than expected
For some crazy reasons this property got a bad review in January. This place was clean well appointed and in a great location It was just as the pictures showed. You should be aware there is a full time tenant on the first level . He was very nice and helpful . He can help with places to go and knows the property if you run into any issues Over all a good experience. The only caution is be ready for steps . Loading was a challenge for us old guys.

We really liked the location. The pictures on site make the house look bigger and nicer then it was. The outdoor space had a lot to be desired. We enjoyed the nature all around the house. If we go back to St. James City we would not rent this house again.

PLACE WAS CLEAN AND VERY NEAT, CODES FOR THE WIFI NEED TO BE UPDATED, TVS DO NOT WORK IN THE BEDROOMS, MAIN TV LIMITED STATIONS NOT AABLE TO GET THE LOCAL CHANNELS. OUTSIDE STAIRWAY LIGHTING WAS POOR THEERE IS A LAMP BUT NO WHERE NEAR THE WATTAGE IT REQUIRES TO BE ABLE TO SEE

Location great - okay everything else
There were a few issues with checking in, namely the Wifi password they sent was incorrect and there were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the fold-away bed. The accommodations were basic, but functional. Other than that we enjoyed the stay, nice location and the house was clean.

Great location - very tired property in need of significant care and upgrades.
The beds were terrible, they were old, worn out, and in the case of the extra bedroom - someone had put a sheet of plywood between the mattress and box spring to fix a broken box spring. We encountered roaches in the cabinet beside the dishwasher - it appeared they were traveling between the dishwasher area and the pans cabinet for some time (there is a hole there). The linens were dated and heavily worn. There were few appointments - only one sharp knife over 4 inches and it was a rusty filleting knife. The location was advertised as having dock access; but the owner had a boat stored there - so there was no place to park our rental. There were no spices in the spice rack other than salt, and there were two rolls of toilet paper... a bunch of empty containers for stuff that would normally be there (we threw most of them out - empty spices, laundry detergents, cleaning and pest control containers). To say the least we found the place serviceable at best - and would not rent the house again. We are seasoned travelers and would rate this as the worst overall location we have used.
