“The host was so welcoming. He and his wife made us feel right at home. We immediately felt comfortable and like we weren’t just guests in their home but long time friends. “Welcoming, very pleasant & helpful staff. Room clean & modern. Stairs quite steep, there is a lift to the 1st floor only, suppose because it is an older building. Food very good, beautifully presented & great flavours. Our bugbear was the flies in the buffet area & restaurant at breakfast- maybe this was weather related as it had very wet then hot. We very much enjoyed our stay”

But what was also remarkable was that the staff was not only friendly, but also went above and beyond to help us figure out transportation during a train strike. “Excellent accueil avec plein d’attentions très appréciables (chaussons et peignoir à disposition pour la piscine, biscuits et carafe d’eau fraîche tous les jours dans la chambre, cadeau de départ…).
