“We spent Thanksgiving here and it was the perfect fit for a quick getaway from the hustle of Northern Virginia. The listing is as described. The kitchen was outfitted for all of our cooking needs, including sharp knives! The place was completely renovated so everything was clean and felt very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed some local hiking. The owner was great at communicating, answering any questions, and informing of us local restaurants and things to do. Would for sure……

“This is a great property for a large group. All 4 bedrooms are separate and private. There's plenty of space to stretch out, the kitchen is large and well equipped, and the location is close enough to town that necessities are easily accessible. ”

“The property was very clean and orderly, not too far from town but a good quiet stay. The owners were clear and organized with check in/out procedures and very good communication.”

Unfortunately, the power was out half of our stay because of the hurricane but the house was still comfortable with many windows we could open and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, grill and outdoor picnic area. We'd stay again if we are ever in the area! ”

“Buchanan is a small town that is close to everything. Natural Bridge, wineries, breweries, James River, downtown Roanoke Market, beautiful Mountain View’s, Blue Ridge Parkway, ect.The Anchorage B & B was exquisite, historical, well equipped, warm and inviting and the hosts were absolutely amazing! We needed 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, proximity to Roanoke and Daleville. This beautiful house had it all! Thank you for a wonderful setting for our family Christmas!”
