“We stayed two nights in a cozy little cabin. The management is excellent and very hands-on, and we had everything available that we needed. The coffee every morning in the barn was awesome, and the owner is building a boat in there, which was interesting to see. The cottages are in a great location with restaurants nearby. “This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. ”

“We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up.
