The biggest issue with not giving this property a higher rating was the woman at the desk who checked us in. She acted very put out that we asked to check in 18 min early. We had just drove 4 1/2 hrs from the south eastern part of the state, and were hoping to check in a bit earlier. She proceeded to tell us "There aren't going to be any "Good Rooms" available, because of the earlier check-in. I asked what does that mean??? No good rooms? Will we still get a king sized bed? She said well, yes, that is what you booked. She then put us in a room on the second floor. Five minutes later a man road the elevator up to the sixth flooor...hmmm still early checkin, but all of a sudden that floor opened up. She rattled off the times the restaurant would be open. I asked if we could look at a copy of the menu, and she replied no, we would have to wait until the restaurant opened. I did not get her name, but I spoke to a clerk about our experience the next morning. Miraculously, a copy of the restaurant menu was sitting at the desk. I can understand that it checking in before three is frowned upon, but there was so many other ways that this clerk could have handled this situation. In fact, if she would of said, I'm sorry, but you will need to wait However, this was not the case, and I know that they do not keep the restaurant menus locked up. That should have been any easy request to accommodate. The beds were comfortable, and clean. However, I would not stay again.
