The whole place really needs an upgrade. Lots of rusting and chipping and peeling. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the bedding was clean and the mattress good. Also they actually charge your credit card $100 extra dollars as a damage deposit which they say they will reimburse in a week or two. That was unsettling.

I was looking for room reasonable and close to the Salt Lake Palace, which this was - while overall building needs updating, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and had coffee maker/frig/microwave & a TV that worked, which was more than I can say for a 'fancier' hotel I recently stayed in in Philadelphia and cost was very reasonable

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel and ended up not staying the night. I arrived early in the morning, fully understanding that check-in was at 3 PM. However, the front desk staff greeted me with a visibly annoyed expression and an extremely rude attitude. It was one of the most unwelcoming interactions I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. Instead of offering basic courtesy or even a simple acknowledgment, the staff continued to blast music or a loud TV from behind the counter and completely ignored me while I was seated in the lobby. The atmosphere felt unprofessional and frankly, unsafe. The overall condition of the property did not match the impression given online — it felt more like a rundown motel than a proper hotel. Due to the unfriendly service and uncomfortable environment, I chose to leave and book a room elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and respectful stay.

My stay was ok. The staff was friendly and I was able to check in without issue. The linens were a little dirty: hair & stains. I was near the front desk and I could hear the morning crew in the lobby as they talked and talked. Kind of annoying. No breakfast in the mornings that I saw. Although a food desert, the area around the hotel was ok. I'd stay there again, but not near the lobby.

It was nice over except there was water damage in the corner of our room, the elevator was operational but was kinda rundown and the doors opened a little to early and for the amount i paid for two night i would say it wasnt worth it and the down deposit of a hundred dollars i better get back because the room was clean just not well kept overtime and not redone in a while
