I enjoyed my stay overall. The Crockett was just about what I expected. My room was cozier than I anticipated—perhaps a little too dim for my taste—but it was still comfortable and relatively quiet, which I appreciated. The only issue was that the room doors didn’t close quietly. Whenever a new guest arrived, their door would slam shut, which was a bit jarring.
One aspect I wasn’t expecting was the parking situation. The Crockett doesn’t have its own parking, so guests are directed to use valet service at a rate of $45 per day. On top of that, tipping is expected each time the car is parked or retrieved, which adds up quickly. I would have appreciated more transparency about this in advance.
Despite these minor setbacks, my stay was pleasant, and I would consider returning. At the same time I would also look at other accommodations closer to the river walk because of the parking situation.
